Today is the day!
Lineup will happen at the kayak park parking lot between 530 and 6.
The parade starts at 6, as soon as the siren goes off.
The parade will travel down Main Street and turn around near the museum and come back.
Parade floats will park back in the 200 block to await the announcement of the winner and awarding of the trophy.

We can’t wait to see you there!

Are you planning a float for the parade?
The winner of the Best Float will be taking home this trophy to display proudly.
Each year the trophy will be presented to a new winner.

The parade is this Friday!

The trophy is ready and we are excited to see what everyone has come up with!

We do still need somewhere for Santa to ride. I have a backup plan but if anyone has the perfect vehicle and would like to carry the big man himself please reach out.

Don’t forget cocoa and cookies will be served by the Chamber of Commerce. A huge thank you to Casey’s for their sponsorship of the cookies.

The parade will be here before you know it. We would love a large participation. Please let us know if you or your business would like to join. There will be a rotating trophy presented to the best float. Everyone is invited. Decorate your truck ,car, trailer, golf cart, lawn mower, or even walk. We hope to see you there.

Hello LPC!

It’s that time again.
Preparations for the lighted Holiday parade are underway and we would love a big turnout this year.
Everyone is welcome including businesses, organizations, and every day citizens. You can drive your car, build a float, decorate your golf cart, or even drive your tractor.
There will be a trophy for the best float and we would love to see what you can come up with.
The Grinch and Santa will both be in attendance.
The parade will start at 6pm and come down the 200 block of main on Friday night Dec 6th.
The Union Carolers will perform following the parade.
The Chamber of commerce will provide cocoa and cookies.

The parade is tomorrow night! Come one come all. If you are participating in the parade meet at the kayak park at 545 to line up. Everyone is welcome.

Hello La Porte City. I have a parade update.
With the other events the city has planned the time for the parade has changed.
The new time will be 6pm.
This means we need to line up at 5:45 at the Kayak Park.
The carolers sing at 6:30 and then the tree lighting will happen.
Coca and cookies will be available following the the parade curtesy of the Chamber of Commerce.
Anyone can participate in the parade so if you have a car, truck, golf kart, go kart, float, or any available means of travel, we would love for you to join us for this event.

Welcome to the page for all things related to the La Porte City Christmas Parade.
This years parade will be held on December 1st.
Line up for the parade will be at 6:30 pm with the parade starting at 7 pm.
The Chamber of Commerce will serve hot cocoa and cookies in the visitor center following the parade.
The Union Carolers will also be downtown to perform.
We would love more entries for the parade. This event is open to anyone in the community.
Make a float, decorate your vehicle, ride your golf cart. We want to grow our parade and get bigger every year.
