‼️‼️ PLEASE READ ‼️‼️

Earlier this week, we received distressing news through one of our rescue partners about the imminent shutdown of Hamilton County Animal Control. In response to this critical situation, the SPCA of Brevard took swift action and pulled 41 dogs, puppies, cats, and kittens. We filled our vehicles with as many animals as we could safely transport back to our facility.

The conditions these poor animals were living in are beyond heart-wrenching and much worse than we expected. Many were emaciated, covered in flies, and kenneled in their own waste. However, thanks to the intervention of Thelma and Louise Dog Rescue and the permission granted by the new county manager, we have a chance to make a difference. After all animals have been relocated, the new county manager will close the facility for thorough cleaning and renovation. We are providing support to empower them in their commitment to making sure a situation like this never happens again.

We urgently need your support. Every donation, no matter the amount, will go directly toward medical care, food, and anything else these animals need. We aim to ensure they receive the care they deserve before finding their forever homes. Our dog and cat medical teams have already started assessing what each animal needs and are getting them started on the road to recovery.

No, they don’t! They will straight up run you over with the cart, ignore you, pretend not to speak English, they wear headphones, huff and puff if you speak to them…it’s really pathetic.

Since I tend to be out and about a little bit and since I am pretty aware of my surroundings, let's have some fun with things I notice on my adventures.....

Today we'll start with my last trip to a local Walmart where the "shoppers" who are filling online orders do not mind running right over customers with their carts or blocking an entire aisle without even trying to apologize as you try to get around them.

And yeah, employed cashiers are a thing of the past most of the time as they've trained us to do the work ourselves and then they put an actual employee at the door to make sure we rang up everything correctly. Sorry that I didn't catch this watermelon when checking out, you'll have to go ask the register why it didn't scan it... Yeah, we are all sheep.

It's not just them though as Target REALLY wants you to use those couple of self check spots (at least Walmart has a bunch) or stand in a really long line for the one or two cashiers they have working.

That was a doozy for our first swing at having some fun with daily observations. What in the world could be next? :)
