Adaptability is absolutely the thing you need your vendors to have the most.

In this case, I did not even know I was going to be shooting that day. I brought a camera as a last minute thought going to an open house....

But when you walk into the room and everyone goes"oh my God you're a photographer we're so excited to see you!!!"

Plans gotta change.

I immediately switched from networking mode to, how do I help these folks out mode.

A great quote from Billy Madison but I was thinking it fit because I thought the president in The hunger games was President swan.

As it turns out his name was President snow and I'm bad at movie references unless they are from the 80s or 90s.

As it turns out the fitting Billy Madison quote is actually:

You're having a conversation and its rude not to make eye contact.

Those rules are for everyone else. You do whatever you want. 😂

He's what you need to know about photos in the rain:

These photos are here exactly why when it's about to rain you don't quit the session.

You're going to be wet, but rain adds atmosphere.

Sessions going to probably take slightly longer because the photographers got to play with his lights more than normal.

Your attitude is going to be everything and you're going to have to deal with the fact that your makeup could run.

Unless it's your wedding day and you literally have to walk back into a venue it's worth doing the rain photos. I always let couples rebook the session if they're not happy, at half price.

So worst case scenario you take a risk and end up spending slightly more to get three times as many photos as you would in the first place.

What's better?

I forgot to tell you I do maternity photos from time to time.

Stay dry my friends, unless it's raining and you're getting photos taken. Then go play in the rain. 😂
