👉Coming up on Saturday August 10th from 6pm-8pm at Caledon State Park…..Our last installment of our summer music series Songs 🎶 in the Woods 🌲 Featured Artists’ Night featuring Laurie and Peter!!! Denson's Chesapeake Bay Farm to Table Catering & Food Truck and The Estate at White Hall Vineyard will be on site to support your hunger and thirst needs!!

Come gig out with Laurie and Peter! Our Featured Artists’ Nights showcase local talent and are open to the public. The event is FREE to attend. Just pay for parking ($5 per vehicle) or use your Virginia State Park pass. No registration or ticket purchases required! Hosted by the Friends of Caledon State Park.

Bring your camping chair, lawn blanket, and the whole family for this event! Food and drink will be available on site from Denson's and The Estate at White Hall Vineyard. Please bring a valid state-issued ID for wine purchases. Wine by the glass and bottle will be available.

Denson's Update:
Crab Cakes are restocked at Garner's Produce in Warsaw! We will be traveling north to Norman's Farm Market for a restock on Tuesday. Crab Cakes and Fresh Summer veggies just go 'Hand in Hand'!
On the Catering side of our business, Rocky truly enjoys cooking for private parties and dinners. He is very much 'hands on' and in involved in the entire menu/cooking process. Much like the menus that we offered in our restaurant, we continue to focus on local and delicious seafood and veggies. Visitors and locals alike want to sample our region, and the NNK has a lot to offer. If you are interested in hosting a private, catered dinner party, please reach out to us at [email protected]. We can also prepare a 'Oven/Stovetop 'option, that can remove that ever present preperation stress.

Due to the heat, we have limited our public events through August, but will be back at it beginning September through December! Currently, we have increased our focus to our Crab Cake Company and private caterings/dinners. Tomorrow we will be serving up some small plates for a private dinner with about 20 guests. We get very creative and local with our menu. A very special thanks to our friends at Capt. Faunce Seafood for always providing us with the freshest and the best. Amazing Veggies, and Fruits from Garner's Produce, and beautiful Rockfish Fillets from United Shellfish Company, Inc. on the Eastern Shore. We have included a copy of tomorrow's dinner menu, and of the Rockfish fillets going into out smoker. If you are ever thinking of doing something special as a dinner, please don't hesitate in contacting us. Our menus are fluid, and we can get very creative with Chesapeake Bay Regional Fare. We use the FRESHEST and BEST local Crab Meat available for our Award Winning Crab Cakes! Just finished up making almost 150! Tomorrow, we will be traveling to Garner's Produce to restock their freezer for the weekend. Add their delicious sweet corn with butter and a little Old Bay, some slices of heirloon tomatoes with a little vinegar, salt & pepper, and some seasoned 'Country Style' Squash. As we say in the NNK, 'You got somthin' right there'!

We are home from our Summer Break and back to work!
You can find our Crab Cakes at Garner's Produce and Farm Market in Warsaw, and our Washington DC friends can find us at Norman's Farm Market in Rockville & Chevy Chase. Hoping to add a Fredericksburg location very soon.
For our Colonial Beach and King George friends, we will begin making weekly Crab Cake deliveries on Thursday, August 25th (For more information, email us at [email protected]) We will be delivering late afternoon, early evening, just in time for the weekend.
And FINALLY, we will be testing our shipping this week by overnighting our crab cakes to Denver, Colorado. If all is good on the other end, we will begin our Denson's Crab Cake Co., mail order, sooner than later.

Denson's Crab Cake Co., is officially Up and Running. Our Crab Cake's are 'hand made', using fresh & local Blue Crab. Our kitchen is fully inspected. 4 of our staff (Including Rocky) is Servsafe Manager Certified. We practice, and are commited to safe food handling. We take this very seriously. Here is a current list of the folks that are offering Denson's Crab Cakes. We are looking forward to adding a Fredericksburg location in the next couple of weeks. In 2025, we will be adding some new locations.
In addition, we are developing a new website that will serve our 'Out of Area' friends, which means YES, we will be shipping!

We were honored to cater a beautiful reception honoring the marriage of some very special friends. It was an awesome event!
Denson's Chesapeake Bay Farm to Table Food Truck and Catering has no public events scheduled for the month of July. Although we do have a few private events. We will be focusing on our Crab Cake Co., and getting the new website up and running so we can begin accepting payments and begin shipping. Also look for a new Denson's Crab Cake page, that we hope you will follow. We will be making a new location announcement early this week.

We are proud to partner with Boars Head for our Box Lunches and Deli trays. We have been catering and providing lunch service for quite a few years, and we feel the quality of this brand is the best on the market. There are lunchmeats and cheeses, and then there is Boar's Head. Over the next couple of weeks, we wil be updating our menu and will be incorporating some of their new products. We will be retiring the Picante Provolone and will be adding Gruyere, Jalapeno Pepper Jack, and Meunster. We are excited about the introduction of the new Prime Rib Signature Roast Beef. Rocky is going to come up with something special! Another new product is the Honey Barbecue Chicken Breast. We have lots of options that we are taking a look at, including some specialty breads and unique condiments. Keep an eye on our page for more of our delicatessen updates.

We will be making our 1st Crab Cake deliveries tomorrow, and will post where they will be available late afternoon! We made 110 (5 Ounce Beauties today). And we are very proud and thankful to those folks that are taking a chance on us! We hope their customers will not be disappointed.

DENSON'S UPDATE: Things are moving along in a postive way for Denson's Crab Cake Co. We still have a couple of meetings with prospective vendors, and hope to publish a list of locations within the next week. It looks like we will have 6 to 7 locations this year with hopes of expanding in 2025 after we retire the 'Chesapeake Beast' Food Truck.
We are very pleased with our packaging, Freezer displays, Logo and signage. When we return from vacation in Mid-July, we will begin Crab Cake delivery to folks in the Colonial Beach/King George Area.
We are nearly completely booked through the end of the year with private caterings and public events. September, October, and November week-ends are completely booked with the exception of a couple Fridays. We only have 2 dates reserved in December, and Rocky is considering calling it a wrap for the year if we don't get any more reserved Decemberdates by the end of September.
2025: No more 'Chesapeake Beast'. Full Speed ahead with Denson's Crab Cake Co., Box Lunches and Private Caterings. We are still mobile and will do a few, but not as many, public events. We have the tents, cooking, and serving equipment.

We have had a lot of inquiries since we announced the creation of Denson's Crab Cake Co. So.....for our Colonial Beach/King George area customers. We will be taking orders for 'Fresh and uncooked' Crab Cakes by the half dozen with delivery beginning July 15th.

Tomorrow we will be at Ice House CB with service beginning at 5PM. Because of the forecast, we will be serving a menu that WILL NOT require a grill or fryer. There will not be any crab cakes for the 1st time in memory. Instead, we will be serving our NNK Crab Roll, (ofter imitated, but never duplicated). This is a delicious option. We are using Capt. Faunce Seafood Jumbo Lump, and preparing it much like one would prepare a New England Lobster Roll. Served on a Split Top Roll. We don't think you will go home hungry. Alway's consistent and delicious Eugene's Sausage and Fries
will have a full menu for those not craving seafood. Beer and Summertime goes hand in hand! Ice House CB not only will served up their Ice cold Craft Beers, but they have a nice selection of wine and some frozen options to beat off the heat. Did we forget to tell you that there will be live music? OK, There will be live music! A great band, 'Framing the Tin Man' will be on hand to provide entertainment while you enjoy your fresh made food and cold beverage(s) while looking at Monroe Bay, the Boats, and....maybe even conversing with your friends. It's also great people watching. And the Sunsets? Well you just have to exerience it yourself. The Sunsets on Monroe Bay are unmatched.

This Saturday, June 22nd, will be our last Chesapeake Beast Food Truck event until Saturday, July 20th.
'The Beast' will be at Ice House CB for their Monthly 'Sip & Shuck". The weather looks to be perfect for Ice Cold Beer, live music, and delicious eats. We will be taking precautions from the heat, and will be serving mostly cold menu choices that compliments our summer weather. We will have Raw Oyster 'On the Half Shell'. Sip & Shuck' begins at 5PM Saturday.
