When we were brainstorming ideas, we wanted a backdrop with palm leaves painted in bright colors to match the party. Come Friday morning, I wasn’t loving how it was looking and at the last minute decided to pivot in a different direction and I am so glad that I did. I absolutely loved how this turned out!

I had the honor of creating this video to share a little about Luis Camachos story. On February 17, 2023, Luis Camacho, 22, was involved in a hit and run car accident. Doctors are giving him a 1% chance of ever walking again. Prior to the accident, Luis was an aspiring bull rider and auctioneer who owned his own horse shoeing company in Wharton, Rockin C Farrier Services. Luis has now spent the last 3 months at TIRR in Houston, TX as a quadriplegic. He has now been released from the hospital. He is wheelchair bound and will have to use a Hoyer lift. His current housing conditions are not equipped for his new lifestyle.
On May 21st, his family and friends invite you to Dunbar Park for a benefit for Luis. Donations raised from this benefit will go towards Luis' medical and construction expenses to maintain his new way of life. Donations can also be made to Luis' Go Fund Me: gofund.me/473601ea
