🌸✨ Starting next year, I’m diving into something close to my heart—a new endeavor of growing flowers. This weekend, I bought my very first dahlia tuber, and it’s called “20th Ave Memory.” For those who don’t know, I grew up in my family’s florist on 20th Avenue in College Point. That shop was our world, filled with memories and laughter until we closed in 2017. After losing my father in 2022, I felt a deep pull to bring back a piece of what he and my family had created, on a much smaller scale.

When I saw the name of that first dahlia… it stopped me in my tracks. It was as if my father had left a little sign, reminding me that some roots are too strong to ever let go. This journey is just beginning, and I’d be honored to share it with you. Someday, maybe these flowers will find a place in your wedding, event or home too, carrying with them a bit of our story.

Just had a moment to sit down and go through Francesca and Charlie's wedding photos from the incredible Heather Pauline Photography, and WOW – I am in awe!

These two absolutely nailed every detail of their day, from the decor to their stunning poses. Not to mention how beautiful they are as a couple! ✨ I can’t help but smile looking at these photos; you can feel the love radiating from each shot. Their choice of vibrant blooms was the perfect touch and matched their personalities so well! I might’ve downloaded way too many trying to pick a favorite... but can you blame me?

Exciting news! Last month, my mom and I joined the Mid Island Dahlia Club, and we couldn’t be more thrilled. Every year, they host a beautiful event at the historic Planting Fields, where these photos were taken, showcasing dahlia growers from novice to advanced levels. Just look at these stunning blooms! 🌸 This will be a new adventure for us as we start our own dahlia garden next year—and who knows, some of these gorgeous flowers could be featured in your next event!
