Gratitude for opportunities we have had to facilitate the celebration of important life events with our clients.
As we move into the holiday season, I am always hoping that we don’t skip the Thank you season and move right to the getting season.

Working at Less stress means changing lots of habits I’ve developed over the years. Worry being chief among them, followed quickly by delusions of PERFECTION.
Yes, a lovely table setting is desirable, but if you need to do paper plates have at it! Yes the perfect pie is a goal, but the over done crust can be trimmed (and slipped to the puppy looking at you from right under the counter🤫Ruff Thankful 🐶)

However you holiday, lead with friendship, love and respect - remember that WHO is around your table is far more important than what is on it. ❤️

We recently put on our bakers apron for a wedding in Texas. Our bride requested cakes as the centerpiece for each table and a small 2 tiered cake for the ceremonial cutting moment.
We loved the idea! Flavors and decoration were decided, the bride purchased cake stands with glass covers to protect the cakes at the outdoor reception-while allowing them to be seen as decor.
We had an ‘invitation ‘ framed asking someone at the table to cut and serve at the appointed time.
The goal was a more personal approach and a family feel. It created a “sweet” moment in the celebration everyone enjoyed!

Hint for today: Do not make yourself crazy trying to DO EVERYTHING. (Sage advice from a control freak -yes I own it😉)Today is a great day to get OUT! Going to shop for some simple elements for an upcoming event. We have the big picture but small tweaks to complete the overall look is the current goal, and our bride is needing to offload some of the small details. Happy to oblige…🛍️🛒!

You may have experienced someone planning their wedding who has a meltdown, or several😳. The emotion tied up in a day that gets built up to epic proportions can get the better of even the most “chill” person.
It’s hard to know what to do,
Often we want to rush in with a “fix” when really offering to simply listen and be in the moment as the person processes , helps the most.
The reminder that at the end of the day, “you will be married “ can go a long way in smoothing rough spots.
