I want to start off by introducing myself.
My name is Jade Clay. I recently got married to my High School Sweetheart and my last name is now Combs. I am 26 years old and I am a boy momma to a sweet little 6 year old, Jaxton Brooks. I have 2 beautiful pups, Remi & Nala. We also have a small little chicken farm of 8. I was born and raised in Austin, IN. A small little one stop light “city.” This is why I chose “SmallTown Roots.”
I spend most of my time gardening, taking care of my feral animals, and making beautiful floral arrangements.
My family ran a fruit and vegetable stand most of my mom’s childhood. I am most certain I get my green thumb from her and my late grandfather, Bert. As I’ve gotten older and moved out on my own, I always plant my own garden. I love to grow fruit and vegetables, but my most favorite things to grow are wildflowers & sunflowers.
I’ve worked in fast food, retail, sales, pharmacies, and for insurance company’s. All great things to learn from and be apart of. But I wanted/needed more. I believe you should get up each day and love what you do and it not feel like “work.” So I decided to start working with florals. I’ve worked with a few local florists and learned a thing or two. I don’t claim to have the best “talent” in this industry, but I love what I do and I would be estatic to bring you the same joy, flowers bring me!
