Will travel for new environments and styles. ✈️

The NW is so green and luscious and is definitely home.
But... we seriously love to travel and love seeing the different aesthetics that play into different regions.

This cactus-filled ceremony was such a fun change for J&M's wedding. And it was in January!

It's been a super busy summer helping our couples get married, finalizing plans for the remaining couples in 2024, all while getting the planning going for our 2025 events.

There's also been a couple of road trips thrown in to help maximize summer break with the fam and a summer conference in Denver. It's been so busy it's hard to believe my kids are going back to school in two weeks!

I am SO excited to share the events we've worked so hard to produce and design this year. Every year it feels like things get better and better.

Now I just need to get those event photos downloaded.....

Happy Anniversary to an amazing couple who trusted me to build out and plan their wedding day at their chosen venue.

With a ferry arriving during the ceremony, large marquee lights in the couple's names, to a saxophonist playing throughout the night, this was a party that we (and their guests) will remember for years.

When we say make the day your own, we mean it.
M&S wanted to incorporate the tartan of the grooms family clan.

They didn't want it to be overtly obvious, so S had a pocket square off the tartan, and they had a piece tied to their cake knife.

These little details help make your wedding unique to you, while also making those moments incredibly personal and special.

What better way to tell your closest family and friends how much you love and appreciate them than by treating them to a fabulous meal at your wedding. You're going to be feeding them anyway, so might as well make it an amazing experience to show your appreciation of their support.

Being self-described foodies around here, we're all for treating your guests to an amazing meal for your wedding or event. It shows you care that they took the time to travel and be with you during an important day.

On an event day, you can pretty much guarantee you'll see me wearing my holster-thingy around with all of the details I need, so they're readily accessible. Usually I'm storing the timeline, my phone, pens, band-aids, cough drops, safety pins, bobby pins, and at some points, a walkie-talkie.

Dresses just never seem to have enough pockets....amiright??

Signing your license on a boat? Yes, please! 🛥

S&B have friends who offered up their boat for their license signing immediately after their ceremony at Alderbrook.

They were able to sign the license and come back to party with their friends immediately after. 🙌

Writing personal vows is something most of our couples decide to do for each other on their wedding day.

What is unique to everyone, is where they decide to share those vows.

Some want to share them during the ceremony, while some like to share them privately. Those who share them privately sometimes say their vows before the ceremony, while others prefer to wait until after the ceremony, when they have a private moment to themselves.

Either way, it's a very personal, sentimental moment that only you two can decide what's best for you both as to when and where to share them.

Taking time before your ceremony to do a first look allows for photos of you two as well as more time with your guests during cocktail hour.A lot of our couples love prioritizing being able to see their guests during the hour between the ceremony and reception. It gives them a chance to see people without there being any pressure to do anything else but mingle.

Your wedding party will feel all of the jitters before they walk down the aisle for the ceremony. Yes, yes, I know the couple gets nervous, too. But let's focus on your closest friends and family for a moment.

I don't go through one rehearsal without a wedding party member asking me if I'll be there for the ceremony or when they need to start walking. They don't want to mess anything up for the couple and inevitably worry about doing something wrong.

Of course, we're always there for them, and reinforce that they don't need to think about a thing because we'll be there with them telling them where to stand before, and when to walk.

Trust your ceremony to a pro and save your wedding party the added stress of when and where to walk on one of the biggest days of your lives. Just that little bit of reassurance makes all the difference in the confidence they have while walking down the aisle.

There's nothing worse than planning out every wedding detail, just to have only 20 minutes for dancing at the end because your timeline went late.

As a planner who likes to keep things running as close as possible with the timeline, it is so hard to watch a timeline run late for reasons out of my control.

Here are some common reasons why we have seen a timeline run behind throughout the day and how you can avoid it.
