Had the pleasure of DJ’ing for the United Way of Northwest Illinois Celebrity Dinner again this year! This is always one of my favorite events to do each year because of how much fun everyone has while donating for a great cause.

Some of you are aware of this already, but I participated in the Greater Freeport Partnership BASE Camp learning more about being business owner and entrepreneur and how to be better at it! This experience has helped to solidify not only my business goals but it has helped me form more connections and strengthen my business in the process.
Last night we had our pitch competition where I was not only a finalist, but I was also awarded 2nd place next to my good friend and winner Sarah Sorn Brennan and some other great pitches too!
I want to thank everyone who helped me with my pitch whether it was helping me research, giving feedback on my ideas, coming to support me at the competition and even listening to it multiple times while I put it together.
I’m truly grateful for the experience and looking forward to the path ahead of me.

Games have phased out more and more post-COVID, but some couples still enjoy them!
Here we have the shoe game which some couples have deemed as boring, but it truly is a great way to include guests in the big day and to let them see a bit more of the couple/new family member.

It's always funny seeing how quick people are to kick their shoes off or take off their ties and run back to the dance floor when one of their favorite songs kicks on during a reception.
It's moments like these that signal to me that people are truly comfortable and ready to take the party up a notch. The moments when the dance floor really comes together and the night begins to take a turn for the better as everyone really lets loose and bonds on the dance floor creating unforgettable memories.

I love it when a bride comes to me with a special request, especially when they're a good friend of mine. That's why when Sarah Sorn Brennan asked to do a custom mix of songs to walk down the aisle to I was more than happy to oblige!
Looking back and seeing how happy she was as she went down the aisle is one of the reasons why I try to go above and beyond for my clients 🥰

Slow songs are just as important on the wedding dance floor as the party bangers! Taking those moments to slow things down and cherish the amount of love in the air and relish in those moments helps to show all of the different stages of love in the room 🥰

🕺 My favorite thing is when I look out on the dance floor and find someone dancing like no one is watching, knowing that time has stopped for them and that they are in their own world having the time of their life. It's moments like this that keep me coming back for more!

Hello everyone! It's probably time that I formally introduce myself 😅
Lance (Dom) Ferguson here and welcome to Davis & Company Productions 🎉
No matter where I've been in my life, music has always played an integral part in my journey. Whether it was being in choirs growing up, playing the saxaphone through middle and high school, my mom constantly playing music and singing around the house (and also being in choirs since she was a kid), or my dad being a DJ in college, music has always been right there.
When I was offered the position to learn how to DJ 5 years ago, I said yes because it sounded like an exciting opportunity and it offered a different perspective to an industry that I was already working in. Now, here I am 3 years into owning my own business and learning so much more than I ever could have imagined.
As I've grown in the wedding industry, I've come to love what I do more and more each day and I've essentially turned into a human jukebox 😂. It's not often that someone says a word or phrase that I don't either burst out singing a relevant song, or it plays in my head. (Not that music isn't always playing in my head to being with.)
I can't express how grateful I am to have found my place in the industry and have continued to grow and expand my knowledge to be able to provide everlasting experiences to my clients day in and day out. I can't wait to share with you all of the opportunities and experiences that I'll have this year and for years to come. Thank you for being on this journey with me! Your support means everything 🥰
As the year comes to a close, I'd like to thank all of our clients who placed their trust in us to help create lifelong memories on one of the most important days of their lives!
