Good morning everyone!! Wow, I have not been on this page since around Christmas!! This is my first post of the New Year!! So Happy New Year Everyone!! Cheers to another 365 opportunities coming our way!! I missed you all, but took some much needed time away from the platform in general. Life is always busy behind the scenes for me because I am not limited to marketing just on social media.
My goal has always been more about building and sustaining authentic and lasting connections on here. That being said, unfortunately social media can disrupt your daily life, mood and mental health when you're too engaged into the many aspects involved. So for me, on my personal and business pages, I take quite a few self care breaks, where it's neccessary for my Peace, Joy and mental Wellness. Before the day ends, take a trip down memory lane with me. Wow!! Anai'ya turned 18 today and I am super proud of my baby!! Can you tell? Lots of unconditional Love, Prayer, Patience, Guidance and Persistence helped on the days I just couldn't understand the growing pains. Wisdom and discernment carried me the rest of the days with God always by my side. It's not easy being a single parent.
She was spoiled before birth and still is...most likely to my own demise at times. She doesn't always understand why correcting her behaviors is for her own good, because I love her and want the best for her. Today we are in a good space mentally, emotionally and our bond is stronger than ever!! Anaiya is naturally gifted and talented. She has so many God given skills and I look forward to all the best in store for her. She always has my full support! Parental guidance never stops no matter the age. The best part of it all, I grew the most into being the best mother I can Always be for her and my other children. Since she was nearly 15, she thought 18 meant grown, and she quickly realized and learned, you will always need your parents no matter the age.
As a mother of four, I learned that you must allow your children to grow and discover life on their own, even if it's the hardest thing to do... watching them make silly mistakes, but never give up on them. Good afternoon everyone!! How's your Sunday going? This illustration and pics pretty much sums up my weekend and day. Leftovers on day 3 is still hitting for me! But now tomorrow and on, it's time to start incorporating other dishes with them. For example, shred the rest of the grilled chicken breasts and make tacos on Tuesday. Or make a nice salad with the left over salmon. I am reminded everyday how blessed I am to be able to afford these holidays and meals.
But recognize many others out there are not as fortunate, I really don't like wasting food. I'm a freeze it before it goes bad and reuse it on a lazy dinner night kind of person and cook. Who else does this? What do you do with your leftovers at this point? How has your weekend been? Ready to take charge of the new week? I enjoyed doing the Grinch kabobs project more than my children did. They really enjoyed eating them though. I used kabob skewer sticks and broke them in halves.
