Long before these two became the funniest couple on social media, I met Alex when she applied for a job at Heartstone and we instantly clicked, obviously! Let me brag on her for a min…she worked as a lead filmmaker & editor for Heartstone for 3ish years, she was an absolute joy, she cared for every client and was fully invested in her craft. I never once worried when she was leading a team filming a wedding. She even stepped up in a huge way in the business when I had Elijah and allowed me time to be a new mom, and I can honestly say I wouldn’t have trusted anyone else. She is without a doubt the life of the party, always had me in tears of laughter, crazy talented and never ceases to amaze me at how far she’s grown, I can still text her to this day and she replies, it’s never expected but it’s who she is, she truly cares! Chris + Toni Wheaton, Founders of HSF, started capturing love stories like yours just shortly after getting married in 2008. Over the years we have grown and trained an awesome team of filmmakers to serve more families and capture more love stories! We believe in love; immovable, whole hearted, life changing love. The kind that can put a smile on your face or a lump in your throat. That will see you through the days, both good and bad. A love, just like yours. We're Heart Stone Films, we create moving imagery about people and the special times in their lives. Films that are as unique and fresh as those that they're about. Opened in 2016, we have a full-service, 1,500 sq. ft. all white studio available for rent in Raleigh, NC. Our favorite feature is our 12 foot windowed garage door, flooding our space with natural light. We also have a conference room and coffee/refreshment area. On April 17, 2018 we partnered with Love Stories TV to release our new wedding reality Docu-Series, Weddings With The Wheatons. 2019 was our last year of having teams! 2020 we did a brand refresh with fresh penguins! Simple elegance with a touch of “European Classic” Scotland definitely influenced our penguins this time, with a nod to a family crest/coat of arms. We’ve been so blessed to grow Heart Stone from our bedroom floor to a full service studio. We’ve made it ours, we’ve worked with so many amazing families that have become our family and have life long friendships through the wedding industry. We grew a team of amazing filmmakers and we loved the time we’ve shared with every super talented member of our team over the last 10 years! 2019 was our last year of teams, all our crew grew up, got married, have babies, built their own businesses and we will forever cheer them on and thank them for helping us build this dream and for letting us be a part of your journey! It’s come full circle and back to just the two of us, Chris & I!
