I recently read that there’s an estimated 2.5 million engagements happening which means the same amount of weddings in the next year+. That’s 2.5 million celebrations, love story’s, new families and new beginnings.

I’ll be the first to say, green and white isn’t my go to palette for a wedding. When clients come to me saying they want to incorporate color - I’m all in! However, every once in a while, a unicorn couple comes along and say green & white, but make it different. Challenge accepted.

This day will go down as a forever favorite SoHo Events wedding! The varying shades of white, ivory and taupe with that killer pop of fern green just gets me every time. I had so much fun layering in the details from unique prints to luxe textures, striking floral arrangements to statement draping. Everything came together perfectly for L + E and we spent the day celebrating this special couple!

I can say, without a doubt, that green was the color of 2024! We found ways to weave green throughout almost every design this year, and we aren’t mad about it!

Some of our favorite green elements this year have been seen in linens, florals, stationery and draping. And this stunner had it all. We ended the year with a ballroom draped in the most beautiful green velvet giving it a romantic, yet comfortable feel. We made sure to tie this in from invitation suite to the lounge pillows - a detail we loved!

I’m excited to see what next year’s trend will be for our SoHo clients - any predictions?!

Veterans Day 🇺🇸

Today we honor the extraordinary selflessness and strength of the American veterans who have served for this country. Today, and every day, we give thanks to the generations of men and woman who have answered the call to protect our country.

To my veteran, proud is an understatement. It takes a special person to join the military, but a US Marine is a different story. Sure, I may be biased, but the Marines are a different breed. The honor and pride in their work is unwavering, the most elite fighting force on the planet with the courage to engaged in every battle, the leadership and camaraderie between fellow Marines -it’s a bond that is unmatched and It’s a family we’re so lucky to be a part of.

To , those in my family, those in the corps, those who have answered the call - thank you for your service.

On a day very much like today, cool crisp air, a cloudless blue sky and the changing fall leaves we said we do to a life together in front of our family & friends.

We’ve had so many wonderful adventures together - traveling the world, new cities & new jobs, and our kiddo. And with all the ups, of course there have been some downs. Sure, marriage can be hard, but I’ll never stop putting in the work.

Thank you for loving me for 17 years, thank you for choosing me 13 years ago, thank you for supporting me and my dreams and for being my best friend and the best Dad to E. We love you - forever and ever, amen.
