I take pride in small details and understand that in order to make something great you've got to put in the necessary work. I'm proud to say that the wedding and event education I've received has mostly all been outside of the classroom, which I believe to be the most effective. Throughout the years I've taken a very hands on approach and have learned underneath some of the industries best to get

me to where I am today. The knowledge I've gained, the guidance I've received, and the experiences I've had have all helped me help couples create their most precious of days. With a full heart and a whole lot of love it is my absolutely pleasure to introduce you to my love child, Angelica & Co.

Election Day sucked. Yesterday sucked too. Tomorrow may be just as bad, but I know with optimistic confidence we will get through this.

There should be no surprise by my vote for . It was an effortless decision to choose a candidate who has the interest of all people at heart, not just the ones she relates to the most or who look like her.

I am a q***r woman of color proudly married to the woman I love. My wife and I, along with all humans, deserve better than our current President Elect. To save my personal sanity and devastation, I’ll end my rant there.

I’m taking this week slow and realigning with myself in preparation of our new reality. Hold your love ones close and, in the words of , “Sometimes the fight takes a while. That doesn’t mean we won’t win.”

If I could tell only one thing to my younger self about starting a business…it’s to keep going. 👏🏼👏🏼

Failures will happen. Set backs are inevitable. But what truly matters is how you pick yourself up and KEEP GOING.

Today, I’m having a pinch me moment where a wedding from 2018 is coming full circle. My once upon a time bride, turned friend, is turning into a client again for the second time around. This time, we’re planning her 40th birthday in 2026! 🎁🎈

(That’s right, I said it. Our 2026 books are OPEN!! 🎉)

It’ll be an (almost) one up from her wedding day with us helping bring in a new decade for her with class and style. We’re touring two potential venues today to see if either will be the one for us— and ! 💫

Wanna hear 3 reasons why you shouldn’t plan a wedding with first hiring us as your planners?? I’ll go first! 🙋🏽‍♀️

#1– [You don’t know what you’re doing.] To be fair, you shouldn’t. This likely is the first wedding (maybe even event) you’ve ever planned. So while you have big dreams and ideas, filling in the granular details of how those come to life likely is a big mystery. That’s where we swoop in to help!

#2– [We hold the golden ticket to your best relationships with vendors!] Consider us the ultimate trial and error experts. We’ve either worked with them plenty before, absolutely love them, would never work with them again, or would proceed with caution. Whichever one of those it is, we’ll be honest and tell you our reasons why!

#3– [Your personal peace will thank you for it.] Wedding stress is a real thing. Even more so when this isn’t your full time job, you’re juggling meeting your (actual) jobs deadlines, you’re trying to make plans with your families or your best friends, everyone has conflicting opinions, nobody can agree on a budget, and you’re trying to keep the relationship you love that got you engaged alive(!!) Sound familiar?

Long story short, none of this needs to be your reality. Hiring us means having the biggest and best tool in all of your pockets. This year I’ll keep it simple. Happy birthday to my wife, 🎈

She’s my favorite person and, lucky me, she’s all minee! The girl I (allegedly) said no to when she asked me to be her girlfriend, but the woman I without a doubt screamed yes to when she asked me to be her wife.

7 years later and I love celebrating you every day. Cheers to your 36th year around the sun. I swear you don’t look a day older than 22 ✌🏼😽✌🏼

What helps you turn your brain off? Serious question, asking for a friend…😅

Lately I’ve found myself creatively spiraling. You know, when you have so many ideas and you feel like you’re desperately trying to make sense of them all before they’re lost and gone forever? That kind of spiral.

I guess in comparison to most “problems”, this is a pretty good one to have. I mean, it sure beats the alternative of being in a design desert, am I right? 🤷🏽‍♀️

But there’s a time and a place for it all. So tell me, what’s your favorite way to unwind?

I learned something from them. And it was to just do you.

It feels like a simple phrase to put into practice, but I feel like we all can often use another reminder to just be ourselves. So cheers to these cuties for mine.

Tell me if you can relate?

You look at the calendar, realize it’s the last day of September and you’re wondering how you actually got here so fast. I often wonder where the time goes, but then I think about how we’ve been so busy cranking out magical moment after magical moment and it all hits me.

Earlier this week, my wife and I celebrated our 2 year wedding anniversary. HOW?!

I can still remember that day so well. We started planning our engagement party and decided to turn it into our surprise wedding instead! Because, why not? We loved every part of our plans. From the slow morning together, to the sliders we gorged at the end.

10/10 I’d do it all again! 🥂✨

Cheers to 2 years ✨

This time two years ago we were getting ready together in the dining room of our first home. It’s hard to believe we were just girlfriends when we bought it, because you always felt like so much more. We were laughing with friends over coffee on the couch and nervously awaiting for our families to come. Some of them crossed an entire ocean to get to us all the way from Holland with a months notice. Some of them just walked over from next door.

We did it all our way.

Having the best gay brunch , taking pickle back shots in our fancy clothes while a women’s softball team cheered us on, and feasting with our favorites at before dancing the night away at in Dupont. I’ll lowkey never get over the bill comprised mostly of Espresso Martinis and Jameson— but our people deserved it all 🥃

Every day I feel so lucky to life with you. I love you so much, Melisa. 🫰🏼💟

Dear October, you never fail to disappoint. 👏🏼🎬 It’s always a marathon, never a sprint. Our team tends to usually have a double header weekend within the month…and we did. We often are tired, wired, full of liquid IVs, running off of matcha fumes, surviving on apples and cold sandwiches, pushing the limits of our empty gas tanks, and missing our partners and our beds. Summer may be fading away, but I’m not one bit mad at it.
