I take pride in small details and understand that in order to make something great you've got to put in the necessary work. I'm proud to say that the wedding and event education I've received has mostly all been outside of the classroom, which I believe to be the most effective. Throughout the years I've taken a very hands on approach and have learned underneath some of the industries best to get

me to where I am today. The knowledge I've gained, the guidance I've received, and the experiences I've had have all helped me help couples create their most precious of days. With a full heart and a whole lot of love it is my absolutely pleasure to introduce you to my love child, Angelica & Co.

As the clock winds down to the new year I’m reflecting back on the tail end of our season. We ended at the place we’ve been to the most this season, our beloved . Our team had NINE weddings there this year.

It may seem like a lot, but we feel so lucky their couples and their venue team have loved us enough to keep trusting us to coming back, plan, and design time and time again. That tells me we’re absolutely doing something very right! ✨

Yesterday was our last day in the office for 2024 🎉

It’s been a year full of love, late nights, and so many big days—but even your favorite local planners need a little break! I’ll be cozied up couch-side with my wife until further notice. Our team starts early this year with a wedding right after the New Year and…let me tell you…it’s one you’re absolutely not going to want to miss! 💫

Slowing down, soaking it all in. The Christmas tree is glowing, I’m cozied up on the couch with my cats (and a book I’ve been eager to finish). The to-do lists can wait—right now, it’s all about family, quiet moments, and a little holiday magic.

As much as I love the hustle and creativity of wedding season, this time to rest and recharge is everything. Grateful for the pause, and even more grateful to return in the new year refreshed and ready to dive back in for my incredible couples.

Last week I took a (to me) well deserved break to lean into the Thanksgiving holiday. I gave thanks to myself with REST after a season well done. 👏🏼🎬

I tuned out of work and into the family and friends that I didn’t get to see nearly enough of during the hustle of wedding season. I stuffed my face twice (maybe 3x…) on Thanksgiving day, laughed with neighbors over great wine and whiskey, and aaaabsolutely balled at the premiere of . 💚

This week it feels good to be back in the swing of work life again! Designs for 2025 are in the works and wedding invitations are being sent out the door for next years events! Feels good to be good, friends✌🏼

Last weekend we had our very last wedding of our 2024 season! We ended at the place we’ve been to the most this season, our beloved . Our team had NINE weddings there this year.

Tune out the outside chatter and focus on what you actually want. Listen to your gut. It very rarely steers you wrong.

#3 You don’t know what you don’t know!
Because why should you? That’s why we’re here to support you through it. We’ve been through the steps before. We’ve trial and we have errored on your behalf and will help make sure you don’t make those same mistakes. It’s a win win if you ask me! 🏆👏🏼

It’s one thing to have a vision. Because, let’s be honest, most couples do to some degree. It’s another entirely to take that vision, expand on it, and breathe life into it.

That’s one of my specialty’s. That’s a part of my value.

Election Day sucked. Yesterday sucked too. Tomorrow may be just as bad, but I know with optimistic confidence we will get through this.

There should be no surprise by my vote for . It was an effortless decision to choose a candidate who has the interest of all people at heart, not just the ones she relates to the most or who look like her.

I am a q***r woman of color proudly married to the woman I love. My wife and I, along with all humans, deserve better than our current President Elect. To save my personal sanity and devastation, I’ll end my rant there.

I’m taking this week slow and realigning with myself in preparation of our new reality. Hold your love ones close and, in the words of , “Sometimes the fight takes a while. That doesn’t mean we won’t win.”

If I could tell only one thing to my younger self about starting a business…it’s to keep going. 👏🏼👏🏼

Failures will happen. Set backs are inevitable. But what truly matters is how you pick yourself up and KEEP GOING.

Today, I’m having a pinch me moment where a wedding from 2018 is coming full circle. My once upon a time bride, turned friend, is turning into a client again for the second time around. This time, we’re planning her 40th birthday in 2026! 🎁🎈

(That’s right, I said it. Our 2026 books are OPEN!! 🎉)

It’ll be an (almost) one up from her wedding day with us helping bring in a new decade for her with class and style. We’re touring two potential venues today to see if either will be the one for us— and ! 💫

Wanna hear 3 reasons why you shouldn’t plan a wedding with first hiring us as your planners?? I’ll go first! 🙋🏽‍♀️

#1– [You don’t know what you’re doing.] To be fair, you shouldn’t. This likely is the first wedding (maybe even event) you’ve ever planned. So while you have big dreams and ideas, filling in the granular details of how those come to life likely is a big mystery. That’s where we swoop in to help!

#2– [We hold the golden ticket to your best relationships with vendors!] Consider us the ultimate trial and error experts. We’ve either worked with them plenty before, absolutely love them, would never work with them again, or would proceed with caution. Whichever one of those it is, we’ll be honest and tell you our reasons why!

#3– [Your personal peace will thank you for it.] Wedding stress is a real thing. Even more so when this isn’t your full time job, you’re juggling meeting your (actual) jobs deadlines, you’re trying to make plans with your families or your best friends, everyone has conflicting opinions, nobody can agree on a budget, and you’re trying to keep the relationship you love that got you engaged alive(!!) Sound familiar?

Long story short, none of this needs to be your reality. Hiring us means having the biggest and best tool in all of your pockets. She’s my favorite person and, lucky me, she’s all minee! The girl I (allegedly) said no to when she asked me to be her girlfriend, but the woman I without a doubt screamed yes to when she asked me to be her wife.

7 years later and I love celebrating you every day. Cheers to your 36th year around the sun. I swear you don’t look a day older than 22 ✌🏼😽✌🏼

What helps you turn your brain off? Serious question, asking for a friend…😅

Lately I’ve found myself creatively spiraling. You know, when you have so many ideas and you feel like you’re desperately trying to make sense of them all before they’re lost and gone forever? That kind of spiral.

I guess in comparison to most “problems”, this is a pretty good one to have. I mean, it sure beats the alternative of being in a design desert, am I right? 🤷🏽‍♀️

Ever wonder how tented weddings come to life? Let me help you 🙋🏽‍♀️ The logistics of a tented wedding alone are enough to scare off even the strongest of planners. There’s a certain language spoken with tents that can make tented events WILDLY complicated in comparison to non-tented events. There are two things to me that make all the difference while working on tented weddings. It takes a lot of planning, a lot of patience, and a LOT of time. Our production timeline for this wedding started the Wednesday before this couple’s Saturday ceremony. Wednesday the tent went up. Thursday we had restrooms and rentals delivered. Friday our floral team came to install the ceiling greenery on their chandeliers.
