🎶 PERFORMER SPOTLIGHT: Miki Saito 🎶

We are thrilled to welcome Miki Saito, a talented Shinobue artist, educator, and influencer from Yokohama, Japan, to our Lunar New Year on Havana Street Festival! 🌙✨

Miki is passionate about sharing the beauty of the Shinobue, a traditional Japanese bamboo flute, with the world. With over 25 years of music education experience, she has built an incredible platform to bring this ancient art form to modern audiences. Her YouTube channel, Miki Saito Shinobue Adventure, has attracted 2,000+ subscribers, where she shares tutorials, sheet music, and breathtaking performances.

Guided by her mentor, Bunta Satoh sensei, and enriched by her operatic singing background, Miki has developed a unique Shinobue technique that she enthusiastically shares with her global audience. 🌏🎵

🎊HAPPY NEW YEAR🎊 We’re so excited to kick off 2025 with a Performer Spotlight highlighting some of the amazing talent you’ll see at the Lunar New Year on Havana Street Festival

Today, we proudly welcome back for another beautiful performance at our festival!

Since 1976 they have been widely known for their heart pounding performances that combine powerful drumming, synchronized movement and vibrant choreography.

As one of the first Taiko groups in North America, they blend traditional rhythms either modern influences to celebrate and present Japanese cultural heritage.

Just a reminder to our Havana Street Night Market patrons that there will be a 👻HALLOWEEN COSTUME CONTEST👻 with some ✨AWESOME✨ prizes thanks to !

Look for the 🔸ORANGE🔸 tent in front of .co in order to participate. Guests can compete in any of the following categories:

🎃 BEST ADULT COSTUME
🎃 BEST KIDS COSTUME
🎃 BEST FAMILY/GROUP COSTUME
🎃 BEST PET COSTUME

Entries will be accepted from 6:30pm - 8:30pm. Winners will then be announced and notified. Prizes will be available for pickup at the Night Market. Any prizes that are not claimed or alternate pickup arrangements made within three days will be cancelled.
