We would love to have your help for before, during, and after this year's event!

We absolutely love our volunteers and are always so incredibly grateful with all of the help and assistance that they provide each year!

As we start to get closer to event day, we are in need of filling our volunteer positions for the 2024 Tri-Shark Classic weekend. Every year, we have a variety of positions that we need help for before, during, and after the event. So even if you plan on racing, we definitely have opportunities for you!

Sign up to volunteer for everything from helping with packet pick up, park set-up, helping in the transition area, kayaking to aid swimmers, or helping with tear down!

Are you wanting to try your first Triathlon but don't know where to start and live locally to the Bloomington-Normal area?

Sign up for the 2024 Pups Beginner Triathlon Program! Registration for Pups is included in the registration link for the Tri-Shark Classic. The Tri-Shark Pups program is a 12-week training program (2 ability levels) designed to prepare you to complete the Tri-Shark Triathlon & Duathlon held on June 1, 2024. This program is designed for those who want to do their first triathlon/duathlon or are beginners and want to do better. This program does not cater to advanced athletes. The Pups program is based at Illinois Wesleyan University.

Program Includes:
âś…12 Week Program led by a 30-year professional coach (Masters degree, USAT Level II certified) and experienced athlete mentors
âś…Weekly group swim, bike and run sessions
âś…Virtual (classroom if possible) clinics designed to help make you successful on race day
✅Triathlon course pre-view – train together on the Tri-Shark Triathlon Course!
âś…Lots of fun and support with others
âś…Post-race celebration

📆 Information Meeting: February 20, 2024, 6pm – IWU, Shirk Center South Classroom
