At Lah-Tea-Dah, we are always about Chari-TEA, Communi-TEA, and Hospitali-TEA. In that spirit, we make every effort to have each event we do have some sort of fundraising component to help a local non-profit. At our Victorian Goth Tea in June, we raised $450 for Powerhouse Youth Project. Thank you to all who attended that event and supported Powerhouse! We know they will be doing great things this year with our local students and helping them find their purpose! Look for more events coming up this fall with Lah-Tea-Dah!

Hi Tea Friends!

Thank you yet still to those of you still donating funds to our Cup of Hope, donating teacups, teapots, china and other tea things, as well as keeping an eye out for things we need. I am so grateful to all of you!
Right now, here are some things we could use either free or at a reasonable price:
1) Shelving --preferably the wire kind with wheels, but anything reasonable that will hold some weight (like china) is awesome.
2) Plastic bins (we have lots of things that need stored in plastic bins, and I have finally gone through my stash. If you have any you are not using, or see some at a reasonable price, send them my way!
3) A reasonably priced color laser printer. It can be used or new, but we need something that won't break the bank to replace the ink. It's needed for signage and labels.

We are also still looking for possible locations for tea parties (and preferably somewhere we can store supplies). Keep your eyes peeled!

I'm very excited to be a part of The Modiste Market at Lakeside Inn and the The Modiste Market Afternoon Tea this year in downtown Mount Dora! Lah-Tea-Dah will be doing the Afternoon Tea service on Saturday at the historic Donnelly House and we will also have a booth at the Modiste Market on Sunday! I hope you can join me at the tea, at the market or even better...BOTH!

This weekend was all about the BFFs as we celebrated Best Friends Day with a “Best-Tea” party partnered with Hamrick Family Vineyards, LLC and Breakfast at Tiffany's Leesburg!
If you weren’t there, you definitely missed out! We had some amazing food and tea along with “tealicious” cocktails crafted by Frank in his dapper 1920’s attire!

It is iced tea month, and we want you to celebrate all month long!
Today we are featuring one of our new popular blends--Black N Blueberry in our

Black N' Blueberry Lemonade Iced Tea!

¼ cup Black N' Blueberry Tea
½ cup Sugar (or sweetener of your choice)
16 oz. water
8 oz. fresh lemon juice
16 oz. sparkling water
Lemon slices & fresh or frozen blueberries (optional garnish)

Heat water to 212°F (boiling). Steep Black N' Blueberry Tea for 3-4 mins. Strain out leaves.

Add sweetener to the brewed tea and stir until the sugar dissolves. Allow to cool to room temperature.
Add lemon juice and sparkling water. Mix.
Serve in four glasses over ice. Add fresh or frozen blueberries and garnish with lemon slices.

For a fun twist, add some lavender to the tea when steeping for a Blueberry Lavender Lemonade!

Friends, I got so busy yesterday with my day job and my business class that I never got to post! Here is my Cup of Hope update. It is day #41, so I will only be posting anything else about this when someone gives something, but this is my last official ask.
Again, THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart to ALL of you who have donated something to my cup. Your belief in me has truly touched me, and has helped me push through on days when I feel like just giving up (and today is one of those days). :-(
Thank you to everyone who has given me cups or teapots, or moral support, or encouraging words, or leads, or has bought tea, or any of the other myriad of things to help propel me forward. I am so very grateful and thankful for all of you.
Please keep pushing me and encouraging me, as I am finding this round much, much harder. Trying to balance everything in my life right now is very difficult, and I do not want to compromise the quality of work I do at my main job, nor do I want to give bad service with this business, nor do I want to ignore my family. I know there are others of you out there dancing this same dance, and I am faltering on the steps. I don't have my rhythm yet.
In the meantime, keep sharing my page, my events and support me any way you can. I want to continue to bring hope to myself and to others around me through the amazing power of tea. ((HUGS))

I’m a little late this week, but it’s day 24 for my Cup of Hope! Thank you to the amazing, wonderful friends who filled my cup-both financially, but also mentally and spiritually! It has meant so much to me!
I’m working on some amazing upcoming events which I am praying bring hope to those who can attend.
In the meantime, I’m still taking your prayers, good thoughts, donations of things, financial support, mental support and more. You are helping me build my dream, and I’m so grateful for all of you. ❤️
I am working on filling my cup of hope for the next 40 days, and so every once and awhile, I'm going to post the progress, send out some kudos, and make some special requests. 🙂 There are some great stories in the Bible of amazing things happening after 40 days, so that's the timeline I'm going to roll with. 😁
