I had a meetup today at a local church coffee shop where I shot one of my first weddings 8 years ago. I didn’t even realize it until I was leaving and I recognized a wall. Yes. A wall. And it clicked.

My style has changed a bit over the years but this is still one of my absolute favorites ever. The joy was overwhelming. The pizza was plentiful. And celebrating friends is always such an honor. Thanks again for trusting me D&L ❤️

If you have ever inquired with me, you know I’ll tell you that l’m always on the lookout for the moments you don’t see or won’t remember. Of course I’ll get the posed ones. I’m really good at those.

But what about the bridesmaids devouring an hors-devoure platter right after the ceremony? Some champagne in the locker room before you say I do? Showing off that new ring to family far away? Those are important. So don’t worry. I’m good at those, too.

You are literal sunshine in our lives. You stormed into this world almost in a car on the freeway. You’re the one God used to renew my view of postpartum life. You love music and farts. You sound like a cartoon character. You love to snuggle even when your cat-like mom nearly hisses you off of her. You’re easygoing. Hilarious. Caring. A little spicy. And you are literal joy.

Happy birthday sweet girl. We love you so much!

My heart for each of my clients is that you get to experience the joy of loving and being loved by the same person for the rest of your life. Zack and I have basically grown up together since we were juniors and for 18 years we’ve been best friends. I look forward to being old with him and all the memories we will continue to make until our last day together ❤️

Eloping in Austin // Grace + Taylor

These two braved the humidity to model for me while I was in Austin. They were so sweet and we got to chat theology and Bible college together. Thank you both SO much for taking the time to help me beef up my portfolio a bit! I’ve never seen myself as much of a creative type, but I’m realizing that obviously I am if I’m in photography world. And my creative side (and my relational side) are dying for some smaller/intimate weddings. So, I’ll be trekking from AZ to CA to OR to WA to get some smaller styled elopements in my portfolio this summer. So if you’re on my way up north, let me know!

I wrapped up my last wedding of the Spring with Kat & Bill! Their families were a joy and these two were the kindest (and chillest) couple. There were even some nods to Star Wars Day hidden about. Now on to summer elopements and cooler temps!
