The following is a Statement in response to Terence Crawford's social media post.

FOR THE LOVE OF BOXING!!!

Over the past 50 years, boxing has been controlled by a select group of promoters. These promoters, seeking only profits, misguided this once PRIMARY sport and relegated it to Cable access, Pay-Per-View, and to page 4 of the sports section.
What was once on Network Television has been removed. It was taken away from the general populous and relegated to tertiary status thus limiting access to keep the sport relevant in the eyes of the fan.
No longer are fighters a household name or bantered at the water cooler, cigar lounges and sports pubs. Names like Ali, Marciano, Robinson, or Leonard was on the minds of sports lovers. How did the general populous begin to lose The Love of Boxing?
If the boxing world were compared to the Star Wars saga, Al Haymon would be the Sith Lord. This hidden shadowy figure controlling boxing through his knowledge of the DARK SIDE. Now there seems to be a light at the end of this tunnel, with a person of the light operating in transparency, with integrity and with all stakeholders in mind. A Master of Entertainment (MoE), goal is to take boxing off life support and give it back to the fans.
A long-time boxing enthusiast, supporter, producer, and promoter based in Orlando Florida has ignited his lightsaber to clash with the dark forces that have control of boxing. This MoE who shall remain nameless at this point, is no stranger to the sport of boxing. He has been involved behind the scenes and in front of the camera for decades.
MoE’s company, staffed with seasoned and competent executive leadership, with a healthy treasure chest is a recipe to resuscitate boxing on a global scale. Recently, MoE appointed David Bowser, a Florida based promoter and Chief Executive Officer of Status Events to run the day-to-day operations in North America. Ira Steven Glass, of Adversary Media, was brought on as President of Media & Television Productions. Mr. Glass, has 30+ years of Global production experience, is a member of the Florida Boxing Hall of Fame and collaborated with Don King Production for over a decade, further establishing the direction and quality leadership needed to bring boxing back into the light.
MoE, through back channels, has offered Al Haymon a total of $250 Million in cash to acquire Premier Boxing Champions (PBC). MoE even sweetened the pot by offering Terence Crawford and Errol Spence Jr. a $25 Million purse GUARANTEE each to fighter on a show produced by his company.

Mr. Haymon is said to be considering very seriously the offer that is on the table. When asked for his thoughts on the offer, MoE said, “The Boxing community deserves this fight, the world wants to see this fight and the ONLY person that has offered real money no questions asked is my group. We have been going back and forth for about 3 weeks now and are ready to execute the closing. We can do both, buy PBC and execute the contract with Crawford and Spence camps simultaneously. There is a bigger picture that will be revealed later. This is FOR THE LOVE OF BOXING.”

Stay tuned, there is more to come on this matter. It looks like we will just have to wait and see the results as this Saga continues to develop.
