When my daughter got engaged a few months ago, this little slice of heaven -affectionately know as “the woods”, at Strawberry Fields, was at the forefront of my mind.
When we first visited the property, I was selling the idea hard.
Their response?
“ We’re just in the woods, it’s weird to get married in the woods. But it’ll be whatever you think”.
As I thought about who Juliet and Justin are and what they love, a strong vision began to emerge.
Juliet has a great eye for design- she notices shapes, color, size / scale, and quality in every detail. And you can’t get anything past Justin, he notices everything!
They love stories that transport you somewhere- Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, Narnia. Worlds filled with adventure , wonder and magic.
So the goal was never simply to host an intimate wedding in the woods .
The goal was to transform the woods.
To create a hidden world tucked among the trees . A place where guest would step through towering curtains , hung amongst the trees, into something unexpected. Romantic. Enchanting. A little magical.
For one unforgettable evening, the woods became a fairytale-
