Wigg’s recovery has been going great. He's been relaxing at the address and enjoying this wonderful fall weather. When he said he was determined to get back to the stage as soon as possible he meant it! Last Wednesday he performed at a private event with Guthrie Trapp and this Saturday he returns to the Acme Feed and Seed for the Soul Brunch. If you’re in town come down and see this soul legend back in action from 11:30am-2:15pm!

Please send best recovery vibes n prayers to mr Walker. He put on a hell of a show at the bowl and was actually the last show before the stage was smashed by the 2020 tornado.

Dear friends,

After feeling some dizziness and chest pains on August 11, Wigg stopped by the St. Thomas Midtown ER where it was determined that there was a blockage restricting blood flow to his heart. While the initial assessment was that a stent would solve the problem, doctors later discovered that the blockage was more severe and would require bypass surgery. Wigg was transferred to St. Thomas West where the bypass surgery was successfully performed August 16. He’s been resting and recovering there since surgery, but tomorrow he’ll be discharged and transferred to a rehab center to complete his recovery.

Wigg offers sincere thanks to Dr. Babu, who performed the surgery, and the wonderful nurses at St. Thomas who have taken care of him. He's determined to return to the stage as soon as he gets clearance from his medical team. Stay tuned!
