Choosing your own music is one route that some couples like to take. While we DO NOT recommend it in most situations, it makes a lot of sense for some clients such as those who like to faux-DJ their house parties, clients who are music snobs and cringe at most stuff they hear (said lovingly), etc.

Many DJs will refuse to play more than 5 or 10 selections because they fear how they will be perceived by others.

A Bride's DJ doesn't take that approach. Sure, we LOVE having creative control. But do you know what we love even more?

If you think this might be an approach that you would like to take for your wedding, first allow us to try to talk you out of it, and THEN, we'll help you come up with the best plan of action to prepare us well.

Wedding planning can be really HARD. It can feel like you need to control everything — It has to be PERFECT.

My advice? Choose good vendors and trust them! Unless your music taste is completely unpredictable, try giving your DJ guidelines about what you love and hate, give them a handful of those true MUST hear songs. Then… let them do what they do best.
