Here are some trends we are seeing for late 2024 and 2025 weddings!

Wedding weekends
Couples are frequently choosing to plan a series of events over the course of several days to celebrate with their friends and family. Welcome parties, local adventures, yoga sessions or group fitness experiences, after parties, and post wedding brunches, are just some examples of how couples are creating multiple experiences for their guests to enjoy.

Spending wedding days with your spouse
Couples are finding unique and meaningful ways to spend their wedding days together, making the most of every moment before, during, and after the ceremony. There are countless ways to find special moments with your fiance/spouse on wedding day. Whether you want to spend all day together from a morning workout to getting ready, or focus on a few special moments such as a first look, private meal, or private dance, connecting with the love of your life on the day you say “I do” is a trend that’s here to stay.

Sustainable Celebrations
Sustainability is more than just a trend; it's becoming a core value for many couples. Couples are turning to sustainable materials in decor and fashion, compostable dinnerware when available, and finding ways to reuse flowers and decor.

Floral Innovation

Planning a July event that needs flowers? This month, bright colors and lots of variety are in season. Some of our summer favorites (clockwise from top left) garden roses, anemone, delphinium, dahlias, and stock. All of these come in a variety of species and colors, so check with your local florist to see what's most accessible for your upcoming event.

Are you just beginning wedding planning? Are you overwhelmed with figuring out where to begin. First, congratulations! Second, look for a great planner, but if you are wanting to get started on your own, let us recommend the first few vendors you need to secure.

#1 Venue - Your venue will determine so much about your wedding, including date, vibe, decor, what other vendors you will need, and so much more. Once you have your venue secured, they will likely also have a list of recommended vendors your can contact.
#2 Photographer - Photographers can only shoot one wedding a day, so their dates fill very quickly. Also, photos are the one tangible that will be left after your wedding, so make sure you are getting someone who will produce images you want to view and share for decades to come!
#3/4 Caterer and Band or DJ - these two can be interchangeable depending on what is most important to you. Are you a foodie and you want to share that love with your guests, or do you want to make sure your music will keep the dance floor full all night?

We regularly highlight venues we love, but today we want to give a shout out to one vendor we use for almost every event we do, small or large. Trying to decide what to do for your guest book? Gone are the days of a lined book for guests to sign. We love unique, specific to you, ideas. Emily and Ben asked guests to highlight verses in a Bible for them as well as signing a matboard for a sketch of their venue. They will be able to revisit their wedding day regularly and reminisce about all their guests and the wonderful experience.

While you are working on your wedding budget, it is helpful to have an idea of how many guests will be attending. You know how many you are inviting, but how many will actually attend? In general, you can expect approximately 80% of local guests to attend and 50-60% of out-of-town guests to attend.
