Happy 2nd Birthday to our Wilcox💚

We went across the border to for Italian, threw our shoes, hit our sister, mom peed her pants, drove home in snow even though it was 60 degrees this morning, and now we’re reminiscing 2 years ago at this time when I was in labor la la land. I’d say it was an eventful evening.

One year ago today, we were in NYC where I got to film the ceremony of Rory’s uncles Robb & Paul. It was a beautiful night showcasing the love they’ve shared for the last 30+ years. Having their ceremony at “the little church around the corner” was important to them because of their faith, and I was honored to be apart of the many photographers who have captured memories at The Church of the Transfiguration.

Earlier that day, I saw a man struggling to set his phone up to take a photo of he and his girlfriend on the Empire State Building. English wasn’t his first language, but I convinced him to let me do it for them. Little did I know he would get down on one knee and I would capture it all on video for him! Usually it’s just the bride that is surprised by the engagement, not the photographer! Haha I cried, they cried, it was a beautiful moment and I am so happy for them wherever they are in the world today celebrating the day they got engaged one year ago today💚
