One year ago today, we were in NYC where I got to film the ceremony of Rory’s uncles Robb & Paul. It was a beautiful night showcasing the love they’ve shared for the last 30+ years. Having their ceremony at “the little church around the corner” was important to them because of their faith, and I was honored to be apart of the many photographers who have captured memories at The Church of the Transfiguration.

Earlier that day, I saw a man struggling to set his phone up to take a photo of he and his girlfriend on the Empire State Building. English wasn’t his first language, but I convinced him to let me do it for them. Little did I know he would get down on one knee and I would capture it all on video for him! Usually it’s just the bride that is surprised by the engagement, not the photographer! Haha I cried, they cried, it was a beautiful moment and I am so happy for them wherever they are in the world today celebrating the day they got engaged one year ago today💚

The most beautiful time of the year is so bittersweet. Summer is over, but it’s sweater weather (someday soon lol) and the most perfect time for family photos🍃🍂🍁

The stories behind the photos are always my favorite.

When my friend Melissa sent me some inspiration pics and was a bagillion years pregnant with twins, I told her I had the tub, but it wasn’t hooked up yet. So, on a HOT summer day, I surrounded my porch with curtains(we live like 30 feet from the sidewalk that people walk up and down the parkway all day long,) filled up the cast iron tub that was yet to be installed, and added milk and flowers to photograph the last weeks of her pregnancy. Afterwards, I had to empty the milk water into our garden and spray it down😅

What a fun memory and some beautiful photos to remember the twins on the inside💚🤰

If this isn’t a Sarah Trimm story, idk what is. My whole life has been made up of goofy happenstance moments, and this is one of them.

I have volunteered with since 2020 and we fostered 24 dogs before having kids slowed us down. We had 2 puppies one time that I fell in love with, and I received Angel’s application for one of them. He was a young, 21 year old kid who worked overnights. I was nervous that his schedule wasn’t going to be great for a dog, but he lived close to his parents and he and his girlfriend Patricia seemed so nice at the meet and greet. He adopted that puppy and years later she reached out asking if I would photograph their wedding🥹

It was a beautiful Friday afternoon and just what a wedding should be about: love.
