Our Story

The Grown and Sexy Cruise was founded by S. Florida DJ and air-personality Keith "DJKJ" Jones in 2000. This cruise began as a 7-day birthday cruise with and another couple. After several cruises he noticed that for the most part, they were the only people of color on the entire ship. Even though they enjoyed the cruises, he knew that he could make this cruise more culturally diverse and balanced. The following year he returned with 20 friends and family members, and so began The Grown and Sexy Cruise. The Grown and Sexy Cruise has now grown into one of the largest African - American themed cruises which also produces trips and parties.
