Hey this is us, the new owners of Blue Stone Public House. Pieter and Amber Slusser. We are local Amador County residents. We have lived her most of our lives. Both of us graduated from Amador High School. We’ve raised three daughters here whom all share a part in the business. Our oldest daughter Kasidy currently lives in Texas and graduates next week from Texas State with a construction science and engineering degree. She has helped us with our licensing and lease negotiation as well as helped paint our blue wall. You’ll find our other two daughters working here at the pub with us. Payton enjoys being up front in the bar pouring everyone’s favorite craft beers and our youngest Allyson enjoys filling in in the kitchen part time so I can have a break here and there . Pieter still runs Blue Stone Pizza on the weekends. You can find him towing the oven all over the county and at The Hoist House in Pine Grove most Fridays. We know some of you are disappointed we won’t have pizza here at the pub. If we could pull the oven up to the patio we would but it’s just not possible. That doesn’t mean it’s never going to be possible, it’s just not right now.

We have had our up downs with our soft opening and if we’re not winning we are learning. We have a lot in stored still yet to come. We have plans for some live acoustic style music, wine down Wednesdays once maybe twice a month with local wine, small bites and workshops, crafting classes and a lot of people have asked, yes charcuterie classes, by me, the charcuterie girl behind Blue Stone Pizza. I’ll be teaching you all my little tricks and sharing product and design tips with you all. We are excited to host many wineries for tastings and breweries for tap takeover! We have all kinds of stuff in the works for you all. So stayed tuned. We’ve only just begun!

We will be holding our Grand Opening this Friday December 1st and participating in the cities scavenger hunt! Come on by and check us out! We can’t wait for some more Beer Wine and Social Time!

We are taking reservations for full and half highland beefs for 2024. You can secure your beef with a deposit via our online store. Once you submit a deposit we will contact you and schedule your harvest date.

Coffee and brisket!? It’s the cowgirl way! While I’m still restructuring during this time; I needed some smoke therapy! Family is the most important thing in my life beyond feeding people. I will return soon but for now I wanted to share that I am still working on my technique, and rubs! I miss everyone and hope that there’s understanding that at this time I have to take care of family. Thank you. Cheers to good food!
