I travel for work all across the country and stayed at countless hotels. This place warranted a review. Let me start off by saying “bed bugs”. Not only did my girlfriend get bitten by bed bugs and I got pink eye, the management denied it all. They said “you probably got it from somewhere else”. Mind you, we stayed there for 4 nights. The front manager Shane was horrible. As soon as we got there, we smelled cigarette smoke in our king suite. I told the attendant in the front and she offered to change rooms. Unfortunately, I paid for a king suite and they did not have any available. They had smaller rooms, but didn’t offer to refund the difference. I called Expedia to complain and get compensation, and Expedia asked if the manager can verify in fact there was cigarette smell. I asked him if he can verify and he flat out said no. I asked why, he said he didn’t want to and there’s nothing I can do to change his mind. Let’s get back to the bed bugs. Apparently the General Manager was on site this morning so figured- great maybe she can help. Her name is Lynka. I explained the cigarette smoke- explained the managers behavior - and talked about the bed bugs. She’s the one who said maybe we caught it somewhere else. She, along with 2 other employees came to my room to find the bed bugs. I asked if you have a microscope or a black light or anything else…. She didn’t. They removed the linens and said sorry - “i don’t see any beg bugs”. How else do you explain the rash? I asked her for her District Managers info. At this point she said no, I will not Give you that info and walked away. She simply walked away with a grin on her face. Disappointment is the least of it.
I asked if they can do anything to fix the situation - nothing. They just walked away. I will be speaking with corporate and who ever else who wants to listen. I will be taking this up the chain of corporate command. I will be speaking to certain news outlets in the Denvor area, and yes I already called the health department. Shane and Lynka should be embarrassed to be working in a leadership role. And while all this was happening, other guests complained about hair in the shower, foul smelling towels and yes, more cigarette smells. La Quinta Inn & Suites Denver Tech Center should be reported to the health department and this manager Shane and General Manager Lynka needs some more training in customer relations and customer experience. You failed.
La Quinta Inn & Suites Denver Tech Center failed.
Shane failed.
Lynka failed.
