Emma’s fight against ALL
A few days after her 6th birthday, Emma was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. She showed no signs of previous illness except a swollen lymph node that was hard. A biopsy confirmed the worst - it was cancer. The questions as to why or how a little girl that has always been healthy and well taken care of could possibly get cancer go unanswered. Emma loved gymnastics and to play soccer. She was allowed to play her last soccer game and the next day entered Sacred Heart Children’s Hospital for her port surgery and first chemo treatment. She has been undergoing chemo treatments, injections in her spine, and steroids for continually two years. She has endured liver issues, leg pain, and many issues related to her chemo. Emma has watched some of her friends die from their disease. She looks forward to the day that she can be cured and smiles a huge grin at that thought.
Come join us on Thursday, June 7th at the Coeur d’Alene Resort from 5-9 pm. We will have a spaghetti dinner and lots of dancing with music by Epic Vibe DJ. There will also be a silent auction. All proceeds from the evening will go to Emma to help offset her expenses. Tell all your friends so we can have a great turnout and show Emma our support.
