Don’t be Afraid of Referring other Event Management Businesses.

I know what you’re thinking: “No way. Referring other businesses will hurt my own”. I get it. Trust me. However—let’s be realistic—it’s likely you won’t be available for every event, every time and there will be occasions when what you offer isn’t a good fit for what’s being requested.

With this, have a list (2-3 is more than enough) of go-to event management/planning businesses that you can call on to flawlessly fill your shoes.

The end result: the event is executed well, the client is pleased, your reputation remains intact & you’ve made an ally in the industry that will likely turn to you first, if they find themselves in the same boat.

Once the setup is complete, it’s time to take it all in. Make your way to the entrance & walk into the space with fresh eyes, viewing it as an attendee. Walk the entire space, being sure to keep an eye out for anything that needs to be tweaked. Do what needs to be done, give your stamp of approval and take a breather because before you know it, it will be time to break it all down!
