JUNE! My favorite month of the entire year because it means I finally get to rest my dancing feet after six solid months of pure dance chaos and busy schedules, plus I get to spend quality down time with my family and in my garden. 😍 I’ll be sharing my home-grown blooms all summer.

For the record, this photo was not from a pride wedding, rainbow was just the bride’s favorite so we made it happen! It was fun finding exact flowers to match the shade of each dress. Fun fact- this was actually my very first wedding about 12 years ago! 😍

Saturday- won National awards with my pro team dancers and husband 🏆

Sunday- celebrated Mother’s Day 🪴

Monday- was sick as a dog with my mini might 🤧

Tuesday- went to see and .erbert in Symphony of Dance 💃🏻

Wednesday- back to teaching again and had JIVE show choir auditions 🎶

TODAY- working on a huge wedding for my alumni dancer .bryn 🫶🏼

Friday- working non-stop trying to get shows finalized, summer registration emails answered, team audition material sent out, clean my house, get everything ready for my family 🧹

Saturday- help host a senior project at the studio 👟

Sunday- leave for Germany ✈️

So many emotions here. 🫶🏼 After going back and forth I decided I wanted to make my brother’s funeral spray, as hard as I knew that would be at this difficult time. I had a vision in my mind and I took it to my friend Robin at . I am not someone who likes asking for help but I knew I needed it here because I wanted my brother to have the best. I chose the colors and the flowers, she ordered them for me and gave me some suggestions like doing two sprays instead of just one. I met with her the day before the service and we each made our own spray alongside one another. It was the most peaceful and beautiful experience. I had full creative lead on this and had such a wonderful person to guide me through and make sure my mind stayed focused. On top of this, she also had the flowers delivered for me, she put the final touches on everything, and she matched our guestbook arrangement and one order that came in for my brother’s service to the design of the sprays. My floral heart is bursting right now! Working with another floral creative is not something I’m at all used to anymore and it brought me so much joy. Everything turned out exactly as I pictured it. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

It’s been a whirlwind of a week. My brother passed away last week and I’m so heartbroken. 💔

Today I was finally able to focus on making a comforting bouquet for my mom. I wish it could have been a freshly picked, summer wildflower bouquet with little bees buzzing around it from the mountain side. My brother loved the mountains. ⛰️

Does anyone else love keeping a bare tree with lights up through January? I would keep this up year round if I could. 🤩 The Christmas ornaments are wonderful but there’s something about a fresh Christmas tree with sparkling lights as the only focal point that makes me so happy.

Cake Decorating ✔️

I asked the amazing to make this cake for my mom’s surprise 70th birthday and it was a delicious vanilla, pecan and gingerbread flavor! The best part was getting to design the cake myself, something I’ve never had the opportunity to do before. I usually design the flower cake toppers and hand them off for others to apply to the cakes. At first I was going to do a flower design but then decided to go this direction instead. My mom was definitely surprised and loved her cake and the entire party! Thank you everyone for coming and making her day extra special! This was so fun.

This bad boy is ready to welcome our family for an epic Thanksgiving feast! My ENTIRE family is here this year which is a rarity because we’re all spread out around the globe. 🤩 Usually Thanksgiving is going out to dinner on my mom’s birthday (which is tomorrow!) therefor this is our first time really celebrating in the traditional American way in a few years. I brought my stretchy pants just to be safe. 😅

Today my husband harvested our tomato plants for good, pulling buckets of green tomatoes off of our giant vines we grew all summer. As he hauled them inside and found me designing, he then looked me dead in the eye and dared me to make a boutonnière out of one of them.
