My Story
Well, I didn’t get off to the usual start... I first bought a camera and started making videos with my friends when I was a freshman in high school, we goofed around in front of the lens of that camera for most of the high school. We would post out videos to Instagram just to try and get a laugh out of people. When we became seniors in high school we were elected to make official videos for the schools use. It was then that I became more interested in the professional side of videography.
Of course, the day came when we graduated, and I moved on to college. There, I filmed videos to recruit for the university. Because of this, I ALWAYS had my camera with me. This came in handy because one night my friends and I drove the Las Vegas and wanted to make a music video to Bruno Mars (I mean, who wouldn’t? Haha!) When we came home I edited it, and sent it out to my friends. To my surprise they loved it! They sent it out to their parents, siblings, and other friends. The next morning I got a text from a friend who started in the music video, she wrote: “Hey, my sister wants you to film her wedding, you down?”. I’m pretty sure my response was just a whole bunch of heart-eye emojis.
The wedding was the following weekend, so I studied hard. I mean, after all, it was this girl's WEDDING DAY! I did not want to miss a thing. I watched how-to videos, read blogs, bought a new lens, and even google “What do videographers wear to film a wedding?”. When the day came, everything ran smoothly. This beautiful couple made my job easy, it was clear they were so in love. I came straight home that night and started editing.
