Having a hammer does not make you a carpenter.
Having a large TV and Netflix is not the same as a movie theater.
Having tools does not make you a mechanic.
Watching cooking shows does not make you a chef.
Having thrown a party - does not make you a Professional Event Planner!
Having a nice stereo does NOT mean you have a Professional Sound System.
Having music does not mean you can dj and play music to make a majority of the guests happy.
Having Lasers, Strobes, and a fog machine does not mean you can do an elegant wedding (FYI Strobes can cause seizures)
Because you have spoken on a microphone does not make you an MC and how to get the attention of the crowd and keep the event going and know when to talk or not.
Just because you can tell a joke does not make you a comedian.
Taking a picture does not make you a photographer.
Having planned a relatives wedding does not make you a wedding planner.

Even having the right tools does not make you a professional.

For a DJ/Wedding Planner etc. it's years of practice, skill, tricks of the trade, patience, and a unique personality, going with the flow, learning how to make the masses happy, dealing with stress and unbelievable requests.

Hire a professional, support your local businesses especially the service industry - most people in the service industry, have gone to school or a trade school to learn their craft.

Value is from the knowledge and skills, not the tools.
