Effective June 1, 2024, Pit Stop Portables has acquired the portable toilet business and assets of Handi-Can Toilets & Fence Rentals ("Handi-Can") based out of Spruce Grove, AB and servicing the Greater Edmonton area.

With the support of Handi-Can's customer service staff, the many longstanding drivers, and the leadership of Trish Wyatt and Chase Henituik, our goal is to make the transition between the two companies as smooth as possible. Founder Jeff Huston and his team have done an amazing job building a reputable rental and service company over the past 21 years throughout the Edmonton area and we wish Jeff and his family the very best as they transition on to new chapters in their lives.

This transaction aligns with our belief that companies must continuously grow to provide best in class service to their customers and greater opportunities particularly for the employees, and to stay competitive in an ever-evolving world. Our new partnership with Total Sanitation Services allows us to broaden our portable toilet rental units, washroom trailers, liquid sewage waste hauling, and solid waste disposal management offerings throughout Western Canada and beyond.

I am confident and thrilled for what the future holds as we become part of the Total Sanitation Services Team across Canada. With our shared values, along with our mission of providing Clean, Dependable Service; and the connection of a locally managed and owned business will only be strengthened with this acquisition. Today is a bitter sweet day for our Pit Stop Posse!

Katie joined our team many years ago on a summer contract before heading off to pursue her passion in bowling and coaching in New Zealand. We were so impressed with her and well I guess she was with us as she came back to Pit Stop after her travels to fulfill a full time role and eventually becoming a Team Leader (no surprise there). Recently her NZ people reached out and asked her to come back; as bowling and coaching is her dream Katie could not turn down the opportunity. So off she goes again on the path of living her very best amazing life.

Let us tell you a little about our Katie; she is many things..... a coach, a leader, a friend a friend would like to have (thanks Tim McGraw) a fighter (in the best way), she's creative & uber smart, she's loyal ... my goodness we could go on and on; New Zealand you're very fortunate to have Katie come your way.

Katie... thank you for the years of dedication to our Company, our Customers and most importantly our People! You will be deeply missed however, we really just couldn't be more proud of you; we wish you so much success in your endeavors!
