So love when we end up with a big variety of looks in one session. Raelyn and John David brought the most relaxed energy to their engagement shoot and spent the entire time we had together laughing and flirting. The mid session beer didn’t hurt.

I had no idea until a few moments ago that today is national spouses day but in a sea of really dumb holidays this is one I can totally get behind. So for the millions of tiny things she does, the thankless jobs, the endless meal plans and schedule arrangements, and stuffy noses, and late nights, and long days of work, the reassuring smiles and hard truth conversations, and for always collapsing into bed, holding my hand, and just putting up with being married to me… happy spouses day to my sweet wife. A holiday I never even knew we needed.

Jokes aside. Loved this cruise, this trip, and this time with these amazing families. So grateful that snuck these few quick photos of me absolutely loving my job. I definitely have a lot to be thankful for.

Lauren and Collin had it all. 100 degree heat gave way to a random wild rain storm that wasn’t even on the radar during their first look. The perfect vintage car took them to an enormous church for their ceremony absolutely filled with people. Florals dripped from every surface as well as under the glass dance back at the Museum of Fine Arts where guests ate a multi course dinner surrounded by the scent of lilies and hydrangeas. By the time the band started playing upstairs and hundreds of people were already ready to party and from the emotional first look, to the champagne toast goodbye every single detail was exquisite.

Montauk, New York. This little town just swarming with tourists and cool little restaurants and pristine beaches was exactly where Claire and Jack wanted to get married. It wasn’t supposed to feel too ritzy or stiff but somehow maintained all of its elegance. A perfect day spent in a dream location sipping champagne and craft beer and listening to good music was their idea of the wedding of their dreams and this day checked every box.

Twenty Four. The year where we chose to serve first, create art second, and compare ourselves to anybody else last. It was a year of meeting couples right were they are and respecting them enough to appreciate it as enough. A year of traveling to tell stories only to better appreciate our own stories at home. A year pursuing God’s best for us and not hiding that we feel that way. A year that didn’t push the years before it aside, but built beautifully on their foundations. I’ve shared every wedding from 2024 on my blog today - and I’d love you to see them all!

It was the perfect start to summer. Elegant details dripping in pink brought out all of the magic at Crystal Bridges for Ellen and Connor. This entire day was a delicate mixture of modern and timeless with a stunning dinner and reception set up inside Eleven at Crystal Bridges for guests after the ceremony in Great Hall. An instant classic.

They wanted a pit stop between their intimate wedding ceremony and the reception filled with people waiting for them. Vicki and David planned the most intentional day together. He helped her into her dress, they drove together to the chapel and spent moments with their kids before all of their guests arrived. Every step of the way felt like it was on purpose but these few private moments at the H Club allowed everything to settle.

Beacon, New York is somehow the most charming little corner of the earth. Emily and Connell absolutely stole my heart from our first meeting. They’re both just refreshingly “them” and they worked hard to find ways to incorporate a truly unique style into their wedding day. C+E events swooped in with the Roundhouse to provide all of the design and presentation and by the time Jared and I arrived in Beacon for a rare 45 degree day in January in New York we knew the day was going to be elegant and elevated with plenty of party mixed in.

They had me as espresso martini. Mia + Alec’s winter wedding was the first we shot in 2024. A brisk January day at the Osage House with snow on the ground didn’t slow them down for a second. A full year ahead of the Pantone “espresso” color being the official wedding color trend of 2025 the coffee colored velvet dresses, towering elegant florals, and timeless look of this day was styled beautifully by Stephanie Benton Events. Nothing makes the inside feel warmer than when the outside gets colder.

We woke up to 8 inches of the softest snow and the world that morning stood still. There was no traffic, no rush, just silence. The hotel at the Shadowbrook was sleepy with people sipping coffee and just enjoying the mood that would carry over into a wonderland wedding for Kristina and David. An elegant, curated day filled with delicious meals and crafted cocktails met us around every corner in friendly hands as heaters warmed the outside walkways and the winter snow colored white florals covered every inch inside. A wedding day built on winter dreams graced with the perfect snowy surprise.

Marry somebody who will sneak away from the most elegant day of your lives and walk barefoot up the beach. Annika and Mitchell dreamed up the most beautiful Jersey Shore wedding at the iconic Deauville Inn. A beach wedding followed by lobster rolls and oysters at cocktail hour as the sunset but before the band took the stage they snuck off to two different beaches to watch the waves and have their own little adventures.

I missed a wedding yesterday… after over 500 of these things it was a first I had told myself would never happen. There’s a bright side though and a long list of people I have to thank for their grace and professionalism and support while I rolled around in agony.
