How important are the toasts at a Wedding?
Very!
Ok then... What makes a great toast, GREAT?
a) When the toast maker knows that they've been asked to make a "toast" vs. a "speech."
b) When the toast maker knows that anything more that 3 minutes is a really long toast and that "short and sweet" is always the way to go.
c) When the toast maker knows that the toast is not about them- It's about the bride and groom.
d) When the toast maker practices their toast multiple times in advance, (not in the bathroom on the day of) comes prepared with their toast written down, and holds the microphone like an ice cream cone about to be licked vs. like a wannabe hip hop rapper
with their hat on sideways.
e) When the bride and groom are smiling like this after the toast has been given, you just made a great toast!
Kudos to best man Frank Primerano for helping Luke and Shea have an awesome wedding reception at the Renault Winery.
