The Painted Earth Flowers greenhouse season rushed by and here we are at the close of the greenhouse for 2026.

Thanks to all who made the effort to come to the farm and find some beautiful flowers to make your own. I hope you are enjoying the uplift and peace a blooming flower can bring. The Creator put the first humans in a garden after all. That should be a good hint for us!

Lisianthus bouquets. Lots of them. If you keep the water level in the vase, lisianthus can last for at least 10 days. Gotta love THAT!

For a gardener who has plants in the ground, there's nothing like the sound of the rain in the night. The best kind of watering there is.
It also makes you want to stay in bed just a little longer on the morning...
But, I'll be ready for anyone that wants to come to the cut flower class this morning at 10am.
$10 each.. gets you the class and a free flower to give your cut flower garden a boost.
Mothers can bring a child for that price, too.

The Wednesday cut flower class was enjoyable. Two sisters that grew up with a mom who loved flowers, a mother and young daughter came, (gotta love girls who love flowers) and a friend from growing up in the same neighborhood came. They were all nice to have and had good comments and questions. I said that I would learn something from the two sisters, and I did. A DIY recipe to keep flowers fresh in the vase for longer. It's made of lemon juice (citric acid) sugar and a bit of bleach. Have to give it a try for sure!

Tomorrow morning at 10am, we'll have another go around with a cut flower class. Feel free to come and join us.

Here's my cut flower garden in process. Granddaughter McKinlee has bee such a great help in getting the greenhouse emptied into the garden! It's going to be fun to look out the window at these beds in full bloom (not counting the times it is not in full bloom because I have harvest the blooms.

I'm planning on finishing up the 2026 season with a Cut Flower Class. I will be showing the available cut flowers that I have, how to plant them, how to harvest them and put them in a vase to enjoy in your house. I will have a class next week. I haven't decided the day for sure, yet. I'm looking for suggestions for times that people would be able to meet. An option is - if you can get five people to form a group for a class, I can try to work into your schedule. Below are the flowers that are available for your cut flower garden. These flowers all are a great addition to a cottage-look flower garden. Private message me if you get a group going. I will ask $10 for the class and you will receive one flower to get you started on your way with that $10.
