Matthew 6:33
But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.
➡️This verse is speaking on provision, anxieties, worry, fear and the importance of seeking the Lord and His ways first.⬅️
Matthew 7:21-23 ESV
“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. On that day many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?’ And then will I declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.’
How can we claim to know Him and still not enter the kingdom of Heaven? He says we did not do the will of the Father above. How can we avoid this? The answer is in the other verse. We were not truly in relationship with Him...we were not seeking Him first. Remember, even the demons believe and shudder (James 2:19).
Are you in relationship with him? Is He giving you those works through the Holy Spirit? And spiritual check: are you continuing in sin?
Hebrews 10:26-29 ESV
For if we go on sinning deliberately after receiving the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, but a fearful expectation of judgment, and a fury of fire that will consume the adversaries. Anyone who has set aside the law of Moses dies without mercy on the evidence of two or three witnesses. How much worse punishment, do you think, will be deserved by the one who has trampled underfoot the Son of God, and has profaned the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified, and has outraged the Spirit of grace?
Oof, this was a deep one. Challenging. But friend, remember, the key is in that first verse above. Seek Him and His righteousness first! Be blessed friend! God is so good!
