We were honored to have Miss Stone perform at the 29th annual Black Women's Expo in 2024. Rest in peace!

It’s with heavy hearts we report on the passing of singer, songwriter, and producer Angela Laverne Brown, better known as Angie Stone, at the age of 63.

Stone was involved in a fatal accident while traveling home from Alabama.

Angie began her career as a member of The Sequence, known for hits like “Funk You Up” and “Funky Sound.” She would later solidify herself as one of the leading voices in neo-soul, producing hits like “Brotha,” “No More Rain” and
“Wish I Didn’t Miss You”.

Thank you for your songs, your words of encouragement through music and a legacy will continue to inspire inspiration of music lovers and fans alike.

Rest well, Angie Stone.

Dear MGPG Events and BWe Family,

It's February, and I hope that your 2025 has already begun to thrive! While I did not make any official resolutions, I am making a special effort for more self-care and work/life balance! Wish me luck!

As for my world of event planning, I could hardly wait to share the fantastic news that one of our newest, signature events is set to return!

Mark your calendars for Saturday, March 22, 2025 for "Bagels and Bosses - Hair and Beauty edition!"

Our team is in "the Lab" developing another incredible experience for participants and attendees, so please stay tuned for more details!
