Join us in celebrating Bucky Geter on February 24 at 5:00 pm for an evening of camaraderie, light refreshments, and a social hour. The Award Ceremony will commence at 6:00 PM, where we will honor these community members and reflect on our collective journey and aspirations.

Bucky has been a cornerstone of the African American religious and cultural community for over seven decades, leading congregations in praise and worship through his music. A self-taught musician, he began his journey on the piano in his mother's home in Elmira's Eastside neighborhood, drawing inspiration from gospel music broadcasts. His talent and dedication quickly became evident as he provided musical accompaniment to choirs, preachers, and congregants across a myriad of churches, including the Monumental Baptist Church, Frederick Douglass AME Zion Church, All Saints Church of God in Christ, and Friendship Baptist Church, among others.
