The Begining of Bug-A-Boo Balloons
I began twisting balloons as I was recovering from cancer. It helped with memory, dexterity and in lifting my spirits. My son has had the nick name Bug-A-Boo since he was just a few days old and one day I said hey bug-a-boo do you want a balloon? I think that’s when the name came into being even though at that point, I had never thought about doing it as a business. Fast forward a few months and I find myself still twisting but needing someone to give the balloons to (after all there is so much joy in giving balloons to people) so I went to the lake or restaurant so that I had someone to make balloons for. I had so much fun and made a little money to buy more balloons, but I also got asked if I do parties a lot and it planted a seed. When I told my son about the name he looked at me and said “So I’m Bug-A-Boo, you must be Balloons”...I guess I am. Since then I’ve expanded into decor and making a whole room or venue fill with joy and fun!! I hope that I can share the joy of sharing a balloon with you soon.
