August 8, 1951 was a traumatic day for a group of girls, one being our 88 year old mother. They had hiked to the Darby Wind Cave and afterwards were enjoying lunch when the group was struck by lightening several times. Many were knocked unconscious and 5 died. My sister Laura, brother Gary and husband John hiked with me to the memorial in honor of our Mom.

They have been part of each other's lives since elementary school. They lost touch in high school when she moved to a different part of town, but they attended the same college. Though they came close to crossing paths over and over.... Being in the same building at different times or going to a mutual friend's house on different days.

It was as if they were not going to get together until the timing was right. This synchronicity happened when they saw each other on a dating app.... Conversations showed how much they have in common and they have been together since. Congratulations and many blessings! #❤️

There is an Ancient Chinese proverb that says that people who are destined to meet are tied together with an invisible red thread. Knowing that we were created in pairs, we go around in life searching for the one who is our destiny. This person is our soul connection and we gamble our hearts to find them.
