It was a day. Spent all day with the kids and I am in bed at 8:30 as I type this. But my favorite October couple received their final delivery today and I cannot wait to show you what we created. For now, my heart is full and my mind is still. 🖤

Never did I think I’d be here excited over a but motherhood changes you. The way that boy’s eyes light up when he sees a set of vehicles he knows all the names of makes my heart swell. I drive around looking for a crane or front loader to point out to him—even when he’s not in the car. I can’t wait to bury him in a payload of love for his third birthday.

Wrapping up 2021 wedding season this week and damn, it feels good. 2022 is going to be a different experience—I’ll have a new kid, a new job and revelry will follow suit.

Let me tell you a story—
A few years ago I scrolled across an invitation suite by and KNEW I needed to create my own spin on it one day. I actually did a styled shoot with where we used acrylic but it wasn’t quite there.

Well—dreams come true because came to me with this same dream. We used this couples drop dead gorgeous venue as inspiration for the florals and special effects. Minimalism with a natural twist—these are better than I could have ever dreamed and I will hold these very VERY close to my heart.

Also hi—happy friggin earth day! I often feel like stationery is thrown under the bus when it comes to but let me drop some knowledge:

1️⃣ Paper is recyclable. In fact, probably THE most recyclable part of your wedding—unless you like to baby bird regurgitate food (too much? Too much).

2️⃣ There are options to make your invitations out of recycled materials, into wildflower gardens, and offset carbon emissions.

3️⃣ If you invest in keepsake suites, they don’t get thrown out at all. People hold onto them because they’re special and made them feel like f**kin’ royalty to have graced your presence.

I’m a bit of a crunchy girl when it comes to recycling and making sure I’m being socially responsible—so I’m gonna celebrate the beauty of nature and not feel guilty about it. 🥂

Oh hey been a week or two. 🤓

I am creating some new pieces and almost without fail I hit a wall where I’m like: “who do you think you are trying to get people to give you their money for this” “you’re not a *real* artist” “you want HOW much?!”

I’ve been creating for decades but because I engineer so many things that have no comps, and because I’m WAY too close to my own work—I never see it’s value. To me, it’s just paper and some flowers. Supplies.

I don’t know what I’m selling these for yet—figuring this out is always hard, but I have some resources to dig into to try and move me forward.

I know I can’t be the only one.
