Valentine’s Day was something special. It was filled with love, and I had the pleasure of cooking for Tawanica Robinson, Howard Robinson,Kisha Stringer and Gerard Stringer in that special evening. Passions.923 served a 4 course meal.

Course1: Passions signature potato chip encrusted crab cake over English pea purée and jalapeño pepper jam

❤️👩🏽‍🍳 The Passion Experience 👩🏽‍🍳❤️

On Sunday I had the absolute pleasure of surprising one lovely lady who played a part in my growth in my culinary field. Sometimes after church we would go over her house and hang out with my friends (church family) about 10+ deep. She would let me and her son ( my lil bro who is in the picture standing next to me in one of the pics) experiment and cook food sometime for Sunday dinner for all of the kids plus the adults. Wheeew! That’s was a lot! 😂😂

But I greatly appreciate it, and that’s what made this moment very special for me! To actually know what I’m doing, and to be able to cook in your kitchen again for a very special occasion, not just to experiment.

This was the premiere of some of my spring and summer menu items:

Course 1: Strawberry burrata cheese salad with toasted salt and pepper almonds, fresh basil, olive oil, and balsamic reduction

Course 2: Passions signature potato chip encrusted crab cake with jalapeño pepper jam

Course 3: Cold smoked, seared sword fish over sautéed white flesh and nectarine peaches, pancetta, and wilted greens drizzled with aged balsamic and truffle oil.

Course 4: Homemade German chocolate cake with salted bourbon caramel, vanilla ice cream, and pomegranate seeds.

I know I am a week behind BUT, none the less it’s better than never.

OMG, what can I say? I absolutely love these people, and it’s nothing short of an amazing time every single time. The laughs, the love that fills the room, the jokes, the great bond and hospitality they have every time I have the pleasure of cooking for them going on 6 years. Love it. On Saturday I had the absolute pleasure of preparing a simple brunch for Kisha Stringer and her husband Gerard Stringer family. 45+ people.

Let me tell you, I’ve been their personal chef for 6 years or so, but who’s counting?!

Mr.Gerard retired as a Chief Boatswain, from the military serving 24 and a half years to our country. It was such an honor to attend the ceremony, cook the brunch, and attend the after party.

They have really become family to me over the years, and I love them both so much. It was nothing but love and major support. One of the best events I’ve catered yet.

Good morning,
Thursday evening I had the pleasure of cooking a 4 course vegetarian meal.
I absolutely loved doing this. It was outside of my comfort zone but everything turned out amazing. They loved it.

P.S. one wasn’t a vegetarian, but converted over that day! 🥰😂

Course 1: roasted butternut squash, caramelized figs, feta and pomegranate seed with sweet balsamic reduction

Course 2: Curried coconut and sweet potato bisque with a fried purple potato chip

So last night I had the pleasure of cooking for a surprise birthday dinner for Christa Johnson hosted by her loving husband Kevin Johnson! It was absolutely amazing! I even shed some tears. The love was real and the atmosphere was nothing short of phenomenal. Kisha stringer and her husband decorated the room. It was beautiful.
