I think playing with texture and shape allow this classic color combo to reinvent itself to match the couples style.

A little behind the scenes capture from M+A’s stunning table design - I mean the peony is out here just doing the most for all of us amirite?!

We are officially in full swing for our spring season as last week we flowered 2 corporate events, 1 wedding, and 1 styled shoot.

And this week we have two weddings, one of which is a VERY special wedding as our very own Emily ties the knot this Friday!!

You might recognize this face from our stories - Megan started with us back in August as a floral apprentice and after a season with her we knew we had to ask her to stay!! She’s a seriously talented artist and we’re so lucky to have such a skilled set of hands on our team 🖤

EK! I am SO excited to finally announce that our new retail website goes live this Tuesday, April 11th.

Adding this service has been something I’ve dreamt of since I first started W+W almost 5 years ago. And while we have always offered retail bouquets during the Vday and Mothers Day - offering everyday florals year round is seriously so exciting!!

So here’s what to expect come Tuesday:

Our team is soaking up all our last “quiet” week before we head full force into spring wedding season. Here’s what we’re up to this week:

Let’s talk about

T E X T U R E

my forever love and friend when designing.

When we step into the design process with clients we chat about two things - color and texture. I am not big fan on harping too much on specific flower varieties because that limits us the week of your wedding to those blooms when so often our wholesalers and local farmers can tell us what is really poppin’ that week - and trust you never bet against your flower reps.

But I digress - the reason I love texture so much is because of it’s ability to add dimension and layers to a design. And ultimately helps us create bridge tones in between colors. The center of one flower might make the perfect transition to another color in your palette. All the layering IS the money maker and leads into designs that feel complex and sophisticated.

Happy Friday! Our team have been little busy bees behind the scenes the past few weeks and today were prepping for our first wedding of 2023 this weekend - ek!

I personally love this time of year where our team gets to deep dive into creative projects, reset, and dream up ways to make our client experience even better. It’s such a different hustle than the energy of the wedding season.
