I was out at Wheeler Wildlife Refuge yesterday to see the cranes and on the way out, I stopped by the main building to watch all the birds hanging around the bird feeder.

Happened to snap this one - to me the little guy looks scared - like, "Oh no here they come! They're gonna take all my food!"

We just got back from a fun trip to Branson Missouri. Normally I'm a Hilton or Marriott person, but we branched out and stayed at a non-chain hotel called "Savannah House" on the North side of Branson. It was pretty nice and affordable! I've helped 2 people in the past 24 hours figure out what kind of new camera to get/upgrade to.

IMO, it is very difficult to beat the price/performance ratio of the Nikon Z6iii. This 24MP monster handles photos and videos with no problem and is nearly as good as the much more expensive Z8. This is an all inclusive package, making it easy to get going with everything you need.

If you've got a creator in your life looking to take their skills to the next level, this is a great place to jump in!

In 2016, I began my journey as a wedding photographer. Never in my wildest dreams could I have imagined the journey this decision would send me on! The most amazing part of this entire adventure has been getting to meet so many amazing people who have trusted me (ME!) to tell the story of the biggest event in their lives. It’s the beginning of a new line on your family tree and knowing that I am preserving this point in time by documenting the day, creating incredible art, and designing a beautiful heirloom album for countless generations to come is a tremendous honor!

While the photography aspect is fairly recent, I have been filming weddings since 1999. Traveling across the country documenting weddings on film has been an incredible source of happiness in my life. It’s a wedding, who doesn’t have a good time at weddings?? I was recently discussing the differences between doing wedding photos and doing wedding videos. While both are definitely a good challenge, the main difference is what happens AFTER the wedding. On the photo side, nearly all the effort goes in during the actual day of the event. But on the video side, 99% of the effort comes in post production and editing the video to tell the story of the day. Thankfully I have an amazing team who I have been working with for years and that helps me deliver a set of products that are super unique to your day.
