One was made to match the color scheme we did this year: Ice blue, white, and silver and the other one is a made with an African print fabric and decorated with plum colored ornaments and bows to match the African theme decor in my room! She looks so majestic!

The minute you become complacent, you stop growing because there’s always something new to learn and there’s always an opportunity to level up your skills! Another class from Institute of Wedding & Event Design (IWED)completed that is now in the books! I know I’ve been doing party decor for a long time and I know my skill set, but I also know that I’m NOT done learning so I stepped it up and completed a Professional Balloon Decor Class at IWED! I’m proud to say this is the 4th class I’ve successfully completed at IWED and I’ve had some wonderful teachers, past and present to help me build on my skills. Heather Chic and Savvy Occasionsand Rashad were amazing instructors and they brought their knowledge and experience in the balloon business and were so willing to share it with the students without any reservations. Both were so encouraging, dedicated, patient and available to answer any questions we had. I’m also so grateful to my children for always being supportive regarding my vision on where I would like to take my business. The last few times I’ve taken classes with IWED, my mom has been the one to come down to stay with my kids, but right now she’s in N.Y., so I had to take my kids and dog with me for the 2 days classes. I say this to show when you’re committed and dedicated to improving on your skills, you make sacrifices and in turn, the ones who love you make sacrifices to see you succeed. Raeven drove 3 hours down each way each time and has assisted me with each and every class and took time off from work to bring me to class.My other kids were also amazing for taking the ride down and never complained so I’m grateful. Proud of what I’ve accomplished thus far even with all I have going on. As long as God allows it, there’s more to come in the near future!
