Greetings on this Sunny Sunday!

It has been a bit of a whirlwind week...as well as a windy, rainy week...but we are not giving up on Spring Moxie Meal Menus!

Yes, it may be chilly but spring is still in the air and the early sprouting ramps and herbs are resilient so we thought we would create a meal of Provencal White Wine Poached Chicken Breast with Ramps & Spring Vegetables in a Tarragon Cream Sauce served with Potatoes paired with a Lemony White Bean Salad with Wilted Spring Greens, Artichokes, Pine Nuts & Fresh Herbs. I use the herbs that I see peeping up in the garden as well as the herbs in pots in our window when I season spring food including this week's focaccia like French Olive Oil & Herb Fougasse Bread for Two. Then soup for the week is a delicious Quart of Cream of Asparagus. We picked a sunny white and yellow 6” Daffodil Cake with Lemon Buttercream for our cake this week and thought a lovely contrast would be 1/2 Dozen Chocolate Gingersnap Cookies for that chocolate fix! This week Patrick chose two different wines to offer. Lucky you to be able to get 10% off Patrick’s Pick of a California Steele Pinot Noir or Austrian Gruner Veltiner (or both) when you order a Moxie Meal.

A great Moxie Meal this week!

Now that we are back from our break we are ready for some fun, lighter meals so we thought we would start off the season with some yummy Garlic Butter Sauteed Shrimp with Brothy Herbed White Beans, Asparagus & Peas paired with a seasonal Roasted Radish, Spinach & Feta Salad in a Lemon Honey Vinaigrette and Spring Onion & Thyme Focaccia for Two. In keeping with the spring theme we felt like a Quart of Spring Vegetable Soup with Quinoa, Leeks, Carrots & Potatoes was just the ticket. For dessert we went both ways. Orange Rosemary Sugar Cookies keep things light while the 6” Chocolate Mousse Cake is a bit more decadent if all that spring goodness leaves you with a chocolate craving. You can complete your meal with 10% off Patrick’s Pick of a Crisp White Australian Semillon ($22 before the discount) when you order a Moxie Meal. Wow! Valentine's Day is already next week. But on a Tuesday!!! We say celebrate all week! 💕😋💕

Friday night Moxie Wine Cafe will be open at 4 pm with more delectable food and wonderful wines to taste. Seems like a great way to start the Valentine's celebration? After all, endearment should be honored on any given day right? Even if it is the love of great wine and food that you are celebrating, we hope you stop in for a wonderful evening on this Friday, the 9th or next Friday, the 16th. Another way to celebrate? Love desserts? We still have a few spots left for our Sunday workshop when Chef Ronna will be sharing the art of composing a delectable dessert at the "Art of Dessert". The event is on Sunday, Feb 11 at 2 pm. This hands-on class will give you the opportunity to enjoy a glass of wine or sparkling soda while you compose your own three custom desserts to take home or enjoy during the event. The price of the event is $52 per person. At our workshop, you will have the opportunity to learn from Pastry Chef Ronna who will guide you through the art of creative dessert plating.
