Today is a milestone of a day. It is my 5 year “Quitaversary” from my 9-5 to pursue my dream of running my event planning company full time. I had a great job planning events, a paycheck, insurance, retirement, all the things - but I knew I wanted more for myself. My side hustle had grown to a full-on hustle & with basically 2 jobs, something had to give. I made the decision to bet on myself. To go all in. To rebrand. To follow my calling. And I have never looked back. Not once. People said to me at the time, “aren’t you scared?”+ “well, you can always get another job”. But I was never scared. And I never considered having to get another job, because failure never occurred to me. Not once.
I’ve hit some bumps along the way, ‘tis life. But it’s also been the most amazing ride. I have continued to push myself, to stretch & grow. To be better, to be easier on myself, to be kinder to myself. To take it all in. To be grateful. To dream bigger. To CELEBRATE the milestones, the big wins & the small wins. Which is why I’m sharing this with you now. It feels like a reason to pause & raise a glass 🥂
To those of you who have relentlessly rooted for me, who have trusted me to plan some of the most special days for you, your families & businesses, for those that have sent me referrals, shared my name, (80% of my business is referrals), liked a post & just believed in me - THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart❤️ What a privilege & honor I have to have a front row seat to some of life’s most precious moments.
One of the last conversations I had with my father in the hospital before he passed was about my business & life & where I was today… he said to me “you did a lot better than I thought you would.” And if you knew my father at all, you know that was the closest he would ever come to saying he was proud of me. It was the only way he knew how to say it. I will remember that conversation for the rest of my days.
So cheers to exceeding expectations and ‘doing better than we thought we would’, to a dream fulfilled, to a life full of relished freedom & utter joy, to 5 years of Amber B & all of the beautiful things that lie ahead. I am forever grateful💖

A look inside one of my fave swag bags curated for a ladies conference hosted by the amazing . This event had a surprise at every turn - the coolest bag at check-in, mimosa bar, dance breaks and ice cream. It was the best day! ✨

•CINCY SLUSHY•
1 C of your favorite Kentucky Bourbon
1 C Gingerale
2 C Apple Juice
2 C Orange Juice
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Pour all ingredients into a 9 x 13 inch baking pan. *Carefully* place in the freezer. Leave for 4-6 hours until almost solid. Remove from freezer and scrape with a fork. Scoop into rocks glasses – top with a little gingerale. Garnish with orange and cherries. Cheers!

Last wedding of the year has me thinking about how truly lucky I am to share in these picture perfect moments. To be there for the laughter, literal sweat and tears that go into these days.

And while the setting was complete magic with every detail carefully thought out…the only thing that really mattered at the end of the day is that these two promised forever to each other.

It was one of those days where everyone was so calm and things seemed to flow with complete ease…the universe saying…yes, these two are MTB ❤️

My match making skills go to work to provide you with personal vendor recommendations based on your budget & style. I make the initial introduction to my “friendors” & you chat at your convenience. Think of it like a wedding concierge.

Derby is just around the corner...so I thought I’d share a super simple recipe that you can add to your party menu!

Pimento cheese is a staple in the South for any occasion. So it’s only fitting to serve it up on Derby Day 🐎🌹🏆
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I consider myself a pimento cheese connoisseur and when I travel if it’s on the menu I always order to see how other people make it. It's a simple recipe, but people always have little tweaks to it...so in the name of research, I feel obligated to try 😉
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Here’s my version ....it's one my go-to recipes for girls night, tailgates or any reason to eat cheese.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Here’s what you will need:
8 oz shredded sharp cheddar cheese
8 oz shredded white cheddar cheese
½ C diced roasted red peppers
(when I’m feeling fancy, I roast my own, when I’m in a hurry I buy them in a jar)
½ C of mayonnaise
¼ tsp garlic powder
¼ tsp onion powder
Dash of Worstershire
Salt and pepper to taste
If you want to add some heat – add in 4 oz of jalapenos
Combine all ingredients and stir. Chill in the fridge for at least 2 hours prior to serving. All that goodness needs to marinate.

Serve with assorted crackers and celery.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
If you want to get extra fancy…serve with hot pepper jelly, strawberry jam or peach jalapeno jam. Sweet and salty - trust me, it works. Save this post so you’ll have it ready for next week!

One good thing to come out of the last year is that those “behind the scenes” people in the event world finally got their time to step into the light and shine 🌟
Whether we wanted to or not, we have all learned to love and embrace technology. OK – love may be a strong word, but with little choice, we had to embrace it.
We found ways to connect, ways to “gather”, and technology became the lifeline. Our beloved AV teams got to pull out all of their toys and show just what they could do 💪
Creativity, innovation, determination.
And as we look forward, we are going to take the good parts with us. Live streaming events allows you to reach a worldwide audience. Have impact on people right where they are. It’s pretty darn magical✨
I’m excited to be able to add this to our bag of tricks. Virtual event and hybrid events with a small in-person audience and larger online audience are a great option for a lot of my clients right now and maybe forevermore.
