⚡️🌪🌩Today's severe threat has so far not panned out very well tomorrow tuesday is listed as a level 1/5 but I do see potential for it to be upgraded to a rare level 2/5 for at a minimum a portion of east idaho the conditions for severe storm an supercell development are much better then today the main highest risk area is from eastern utah to southwest Montana an pretty much all of eastern idaho from pocatello to the montana stateline will see what the midnight risk shows but the storm prediction center is saying there will be a FEW supercells likely with robust updrafts an big hail upto 1 inch in diameter quarter size or bigger an damaging winds of 60 mph or more at this time will provide future updates as this further develops an will absolutely be chasing somewhere tomorrow ⚡️🌪🌩

Wow crazy cold temps an wind chills

Stay warm East Idaho! How cold is it where you're at this morning? Arctic air is fully in place this morning with air temperatures of -5°F to -45°F and dangerous wind chills between -20°F and -60°F, capable of causing frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 5 to 10 minutes.

Let's put this cold air outbreak in perspective:

☑ Today marks the ALL-TIME COLDEST temperature on record for Rexburg since records began in 1998 reaching -27°F.

☑ Today marks the COLDEST temperature on record for Idaho Falls since 1985 and also sets a new record low temperature for January 30th reaching -31°F.

☑ Today marks the COLDEST temperature on record for Pocatello, and Challis since 2017 reaching -16°F and -24°F respectively.

Finally a relief from the heat its been a hot summer this year...sorry for the lack of content but there just hasnt really been any decent severe storms worth chasing closeby an vehicle troubles as well hopefully we can at least get some decent storms this fall before winter maybe we will get some good blizzards possibly that would be cool anyway again sorry for the lack of content -shelton
