Free Shoot chance!

So idk when I'm doing this, it may not be for a month or heck maybe even 2-3 months from now, but I'm putting out feelers now to see if COUPLES are interested in this shoot.

So the concept is simple...I want to do a couples shoot with Jojo's Bizarre Adventure fans.

We don't need to do cosplay, but if you can improv a JoJo pose I want you.

I feel like I should just start saying the types of weddings I'm shooting the following weekend because it's always funny to hear on paper.

For example, a week ago anime couple, the bridal party literally did a Captain Ginyu photo, and they named their baby son after Captain Levi

This weekend it's Star Wars themed and the cockpit of the Millennial Falcon is at the venue lol

Pay - $30k/year - $100k/year
Hours - Flexible Schedule (initially probably only 10-20hrs per week)
Remote job (but must be local to CT)

Description:
This position will start you out as an assistant for my wedding photography business (Love Long and Prosper) and over time you will be trained to essentially run the company.

I'm looking for a real go-getter who I can train to run my business within about 2 years, which at that point you will be making $100k/year.

Initially your job will entail answering emails, handling random small tasks, assisting me as a lighting assistant during weddings, assisting with the photobooth (hence why you must be local), posting on social media and learning the ins and outs to how the business runs.

Overtime you will be literally running the business so you will be handling all emails, making assignments for myself and other VAs/assistants, handling payroll, scheduling, scheduling out content, etc.

This job is perfect for someone who is super organized, is fantastic at putting the big picture on paper, and has a ton of interest in learning new systems.

Requirements:
-Has a flexible enough schedule to be the lighting assistant for weddings and shoots
-Has a car
-Is tech savvy, and has their own solid PC
-Pays attention to details (prove this by saying you "hate weddings" in your application!)
-Must be able to move heavy objects

The Ideal candidate:
-Is more of a leader, rather than a manager
-Enjoys learning new things
-Is super easy going but understands when to be stern
-Someone who I can actually see being my boss in 2 years....because you will be.
-You are also open to moving to Colorado or Texas or wherever the company moves to (far from a requirement, but it's a nice bonus)

Bonuses:
-Job will NOT initially have benefits such as health and retirement, but it will overtime
-Job comes with 3 weeks paid time off
-Free shoots for you and your family (don't abuse this lol)
-We will evaluate your past work, contributions, and progress every 6 months. And you will get a sizeable raise according to the progress.

DO NOT apply to this position if:
-You need a temporary job
-You are not located in Connecticut
-You are not vaccinated (we will have to attend many weddings and shoots. To constantly have to worry about covid tests and quarantining is not an option)

So it's kind of badass that 2 years ago I did a Harry Potter shoot, and now I'm doing like 4-5 Harry Potter weddings within the next year, when not even a year ago I was struggling to get 4-5 weddings period in the middle of a pandemic lmfao

Fun fact about myself.......so I've been hypnotized before and I'm very susceptible to it!⁠

Now....before you start thinking that being hypnotized is a load of bull let me explain myself lmao⁠

You may not realize it but most folks have been in the state that you get in when hypnotized and you didn't even realize it. Have you ever fallen asleep on a couch and the next morning you are in a bed? Then you ask people how you got there and they tell you that you walked to bed on your own, or they woke you up and told you to go to bed and you did.⁠

It's the same thing.⁠

Getting hypnotized just involves you getting to that sleepy state. Now during a show am I 10000% asleep and unaware the entire time? Hell no, I am aware. But I'm also so sleepy that.....I kind of just don't care?⁠

Have you ever been so sleepy that you just don't care what someone says, you just agree and do what they say so that you can get back to sleeping? Similar situation lol.⁠

But anyways.....why am I with a blowup doll? Well of course the day I found out I'm susceptible to getting hypnotized was during a Rated-R show. In fact, me and my cousin wasn't even supposed to be at this show!⁠

We were trying to see the great Patrice O'neal but they told us the wrong schedule so we ended up missing the show :(⁠

Funny turn of events though, we actually got to meet him after my own act because they screwed up. Super nice dude, and kind of sucks that he passed at such a young age RIP.

When your whole wedding color palette is damn awesome and right on point! Carissa and Francisco had one of the most amazing weddings I have been to. Every detail was so perfectly done to match the overall aesthetic, down to the last sock of the groom and his groomsmen! Seriously how cool are those socks! The colors were so good that came back in all the details on the photos.⁠

Seriously, how cool are the details of this incredible styled shoot!? I believe that is the most awesome boutonniere that I have seen so far. And the floral installation? Damn that needed hours upon hours to be set, talk about dedication, and realizing the vision! Every detail was combined perfectly and seamlessly to inspire all of you Big City Lovers!!⁠

Folks, have you thought about how you can level up your wedding reception? Well take a leaf out of Carissa and Francisco's wedding and add games to make everything more interesting! Whether it would be a giant personalized Jenga, or making and sampling creative cocktails - you can never go wrong with extra activities to include everyone in the fun! Seriously, this was one of the most amazing receptions I have shot, and there wasn't a soul that didn't love it!⁠

Cheers to Chelsea and Anthony who despite the pandemic had their intimate ceremony, but later this year we get to have fun with them for their big reception party! Even though it is important to share your epic moments with the closest people, it feels damn good that bigger groups are finally happening again!!⁠

They are huge geeks, much like myself - we've literally played board games with these folks for 24 hours sessions SEVERAL times! Anthony even brought a deck of cards to their wedding lol!⁠

It's the first day with things returning back to normal kind of lol. But I'd be lying if I didn't say I'd miss these micro-weddings that the pandemic threw us into.⁠

You really didn't see folks get caught up in the details, but it instantly became more about the people and who you really want to see at your wedding.⁠

The best way to ease couples into sessions and get their blood flowing is to first snap some goofy walking photos. Gene and Steph eased into it completely! I love how relaxed & casual this session was, plus in the comfort of their backyard. We waited for one glorious month for snow and when it finally happened, we were ready for it. Bonus points - it was amazingly sunny which looked perfect in their engagement session photos!⁠
